I was looking at the Black Friday ads online recently. I had no idea what great deals they would be offering this year on electronics. It's amazing the price you can get for a big flat screen TV, or a other tthings like that. I was particularly interested in the Garmins on sale. As an employee of John Deere we get some wonderful perks. One of those being a membership to our workout facility there. It has actually worked out very well, because my girlfriend Renee is a personal trainer for an internship she's doing there....so I choose her as my trainer. Now I go there at least three times a week and she trains me. It's a lot of fun. If that's the career path she chooses....she'll do a great job!!

When I was at my sister's last, her little girl was watching a baby signing dvd. I was amazed how well she watched it. She smiled the whole time and you could see her trying to copy some of the things she was doing on the video. I thought it was really cool! She's even learning to do some signs on her own...like "more", "all done", "puppy", etc. This is helpful to her parents, as now they don't have to wonder what she is wanting. I'd like to do signing with my kids one day.

I have a wonderful computer, but at times when using it for work, I really wish that I could get a little more memory for it. I was just watching the news, and unfortunately there's more talk of the rising unemployment rate. I was recently talking with my mom and she said it was extremely cold there at home. I am currently in LA, so as you can imagine it's quite warm here. In fact, at the beginning of the week I took some time and went to the beach to relax. That's definitely not something those in the midwest where I live could even imagine doing right now. It feels good to be somewhere with such nice weather. I could definitely live here one day. I love it!

Tomorrow is Wednesday, can you believe it?? I am really surprised that this week is going by so quickly....but that's probably partly due to the fact that I've been working so much. That tends to make the weeks go by faster. I normally would be looking forward to the weekend on fast wees like this, but this weekend I am leaving for a business trip so that means more work for me. I don't really mind it...but I do like my weekends too.

When I was visiting my sister this weekend we got to talking about all the ways that people diet these days. Tonight we got to eat at one of my favorite restaurants of all time...The Pizza Ranch! I am back visiting my sister and her family...so when I got to their house last night I treated them all to a night out at the Pizza Ranch. It was very good and I'm so glad we were able to go. We don't have a Pizza Ranch where I live, so it's always a treat to go here when I visit them. I'm glad I was able to treat them as well.

Finally I'm back from my business trip and have a day to relax. Then tomorrow we head to my sister's and are going to a wedding in South Dakota. It will make for quite a busy and long weekend, but I'm looking forward to it. I always enjoy spending time with Renee and seeing my family. Hopefully the time doesn't go by too quickly though, because then it's off to work I go on Monday already.

I live in an apartment, but it's a place where we're allowed to make some changes to the place...as long as it's approved. I rent, so I can't do it without speaking to my landlord first. I'm thinking about doing some minor changes....door hardware, light fixtures, and maybe some other accessories. It won't cost a lot but will make such a difference. I really need to get looking online and see what I can find. There's so many great home improvement options out there for me.
