Allegro Medical
Friday, October 31, 2008 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

There are so many places to find products you need online these days, but not many offer as much or as user friendly of a site as Allegro Medical. I found their site a while back and wanted to pass it along because I feel they offer a lot of what people need. To start I will let you know what they do. They are one of the largest online retailers of life enhancing products. They serve over 1 million people currently and continue to grow. They provide so many wonderful products such as Exercise & Fitness Equipment, Nutritional Dietary Supplements, Maternity/Baby Supplies and Outdoor Gear! That covers a great deal of products and is why I chose to pass on their site to those who might be interested. Check out their over 55,000 different products and medical equipment and see what you think. You won't be sorry you did.

Fun Weekend
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Wouldn't you know that it's my day off and I am not even able to sleep in. Not because anyone is waking me up, but because I am so used to waking up early that I just can't sleep very late anymore. Kind of takes the fun out of having a day off. I guess at least I can relax and just be a bum all day. I'm at my sisters so that's fun. We have a lot going on this weekend...it will be a lot of fun...halloween, birthday party, family time, etc.

Find.com
Wednesday, October 29, 2008 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Are you one of the many people who use search engines? I know I am. That's why I was fairly interested in Find.com...a site I came across recently. Find.com is basically a newly launched consumer search engine that offers expert-written information. What I like best about this site is that they make it so easy to use. I would say it's probably the mos user friendly search engine I've ever used! It's also nice to have a search engine with a URL that's so easy to remember. Find.com...you can't get much easier than that now, can you?!

If you'd like to learn more about the Find.com Search Engine, definitely head over there today and see what you think. You can just put in http://find.com/any_keyword for example and find whatever it is you're looking for in their directory. You won't be sorry you did...as they have 500 articles and will have lots more by the end of the year. It's a great resource for many different subjects you may be looking for more information about.

I was searching for information about my nieces first birthday....trying to help my sister with the final planning things and it turned out to have a lot of useful information for us! Whether it's that, or maybe something else like you need to Find People, Find Jobs, or maybe Find Friend....take a moment and head over there today. I think you'll be as impressed as I was.

Relaxing Weekend
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Tomorrow is the last day I work this week...then it's off to visit the family! I'm really looking forward to that...I need a break from work and just the busyness of life. It's my nieces first birthday this weekend so we will be busy celebrating and it should be a great time. It will be nice to just be there for the weekend relaxing and spending time with the family. I'll update you on how it all goes.

aGoodCause.com
Monday, October 27, 2008 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Lately I've been more interested in giving to charities of all kinds. I did some searching and came across www.agoodcause.com which would make it really easy for me to do. They make it simple for anyone who shops online. If you download their AidMaker software, everything else is done for you. When you shop online and make a purchase at over 5000 online stores, a contribution will be made to one of your favorite charities for free! The retailer makes a contribution for you with a portion of what you paid for your product. I thought this was a great idea....and something I'd never heard of before. Take a look and see what you think if you want to learn more about them.

Computer Memory
Thursday, October 23, 2008 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I have a wonderful computer, but at times when using it for work, I really wish that I could get a little more memory for it. I've been looking for something online that would work for me, and so far haven't had much luck. I am usually very good at finding things online, so I know with a little patience and time I will find exactly what I need. Having enough memory is just so important...and I've found it to be hindering the work I do. Hopefully soon I'll find what I need.

Ipods
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Ipods have sure come a long way from when they first came out. I can remember when the
ipods where big with a black and white screen. Now they have come out with the Ipod Nano, and the Ipod Touch, Ipod's that are way more advanced and you can do more than just play music. You can now play games, watch movies, and play music videos. This makes traveling with your family very easy. I can't wait to see what they come out with next.

Time Flies!
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I have a brother and a sister. They are twins and such good siblings. I couldn't ask for better! This week they celebrated their 26th birthdays. I'm not much younger than them, but just thinking about that number makes them seem older to me. It's weird to think that my older brother and sister are on the downhill to 30 already! Where does the time go? I remember when we were just kids without a care in the world. Now we're all out of college and starting our lives in the "real world".

Church in a Theater
Monday, October 20, 2008 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Have you notcied how incredible some church building are now these days? I grew up in a pretty traditional church...it looked similar to many other churches in the area. However, once I went to college and started attending a more modern and larger church...I saw that it really doesn't matter where you worship...just as long as you're able to worship God and fellowship with others! They have huge screens in the front....a very large stage up there...it actually reminds me a lot of a movie theater setting. In fact, we once had a church service in a movie theater setting. It was quite different. The stage was much larger than in a tradition church setting...and the service as a whole was different. The sound system was amazing, and the words to songs could be displayed across the screen...which was awesome! I really enjoyed it! I'm not in a church setting that is much like this and love how large it is and how contemporary!

Do you think you'd enjoy a church service like this? If so, you may want to Find out more by checking out the first ever inaugural Theatre Church Conference in Silver Springs, Maryland. The services will be held October 22 and 23. I know that I'd like to Find out more.

Long Weekend
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Wow...what a busy weekend. I always say how much I enjoy my weekends, but this one....not so much! I recently was promoted which means I work quite a bit. I worked all weekend. The positive parts to all of this is that number one, I LOVE my job...and number two....I was able to work from home. I do wish I would have had more time to just relax though...that would have been great!

LASIK
Wednesday, October 15, 2008 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I recently read a very interesting article about Lasik surgery. Many people are probably familiar with this procedure, as it's something many are becoming more and more apt to doing. The article I read spoke of NASA and the US military. I guess they are really wanting to increase the performance of their members...so they are turning to laser vision correction to help out. I think this is a great idea, and something I'm surprised they didn't turn to earlier! Those members facing serious conditions really need to be sure their vision is up to par, and the all-laser form of LASIK is the way to go. I'm so glad that NASA and the US Military recognized this...as LASIK can truly be life changing!!

So what's the difference between modern LASIK and the new one? Well, the modern one used two lasers, where this one uses one. It was very interesting to learn more about the procedure and all that goes into it from the LASIK information I read. I am not sure if others know how it works...but I wasn't. Now though, I not only understand more about it, but also that the results of the military's evaluation has shown 95% military personnel have 20/20 vision or better now. 12 million American's have benefited from this surgery, and I know many more will follow!! Isn't LASIK technology great?!

Needing a Weekend!
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Why is it that one week the work week goes by so quickly, and the next goes by slowly?? It's only Wednesday today and i feel like it should be Friday! I am sure it has something to do with the week...and whether or not you're really busy or not. This week has been busy, but not nearly as busy as last week. Anyways...I just hope the next couple of days go by MUCH more quickly than these first few days. I'm really needing a weekend to relax.

Costume Jewelry
Friday, October 10, 2008 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I never thought costume jewelry would catch on to be such a big hit...but from what my girlfriend has been telling me...it's quite the in thing. I think she would like some for Christmas...so I've been looking around and really like what Holsted Jewelers has to offer. They have a really great selection and many of their items are something that Renee would definitely like and appreciate it. Their jewelry seems like such good quality, yet it is priced at a price that many can afford. Speaking of price...it's great to shop on their site, because you can actually shop by price range. It's very user friendly and I like anything that makes shopping online more convenient. Check out their site today for more information.

Babysitting
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I kind of wish I was going to be home this weekend. My parents are going to be babysitting my little niece tomorrow night while my sister and her husband are out of town. It's the first time that they've left her for an extended period of time and I"d like to be there to help my parents out. I don't think we're going to venture back home, but I just think it would be fun. Hopefully it goes well for them...I think it will. She's a good little girl and is very used to being around my parents.

More Business Trips
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I found out that I have a couple of more business trips to take in the next month. I have one coming up very soon that's only a few days and then one new one in November that is two weeks in California. I had a great time in California the last time I had to go there, so I'm really looking forward to it! The only bad thing is that while I'm gone I sure miss Renee, and my kitty Mylie. Oh well...I guess that's just part of the job. At least I enjoy it.

Mark & Associates, P.C.
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I've discussed Mark and Associates, P.C. before. They are a leading personal injury law firm with many different locations and are known for their reputation in law and their maritime attorney. They recently released a web release that I read...stating that they applaud Obama for his support of the federal law that gives financial compensation to seamen who are injured on the job. Obama is endorsed by the president of the Seafarers International Union, as they support him for backing the Jones act. As with anyone during this presidential campaign....I have been reading lots of things about each candidate. This is something I recently read of Obama and thought I'd pass it along. You can learn more about the Jones Act at http://www.maritimelegalrights.com and http://www.jonesactrights.com.

FRIDAY
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Yeah, it's FRIDAY! I hope my work day goes by quickly because this weekend I have absolutely nothing to do! I'm looking forward to just relaxing and spending time with Renee. It's been a while since I had a weekend like that. I hope it doesn't go by as quickly as this week did....I'd like the weekends to be long and the weeks to be short. Isn't that what we all want though?!? It rarely seems to go that way...haha

Healthy Living
Thursday, October 09, 2008 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Many people are becoming more and more healthy. I walk through the grocery store and see all kinds of options for people. There are diet pills, organic foods, even options like a colon cleanser and other things that are supposed to help with overall health. I think it's great, but I just think people need to have their guard up and do their research before putting things like this into their bodies. Being healthy is good....but let's be smart at the same time.

Staying Healthy
Sunday, October 05, 2008 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Whenever I want to be healthier, I usually get back into my exercise routine and eat healthier things. I have never turned to diet pills like Fenphedra, but I know many people who have. The thing that I don't like about diet pills out there is that they all claim that their products will give you these unrealistic outcomes. It's a little misleading, don't you think? I mean, I'm sure that many of them are very good, but I would think it would take quite some time to find the one that workse best for you. I suppose the most important thing to keep in mind is that you're doing what's best for you and you're not going in with unrealistic expectations.
