Rental Property Management Software
Tuesday, July 29, 2008 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Renting from various landlords for many years now, it has become a business I am increasingly interested in. I think I would be good at it and would have much success. As I was thinking about this venture recently, I began browsing the web for more information. I was really happy to come across information regarding rental property management software for landlords....http://onsitepropertymanager.com . This is a web based system that helps to increase rental property income. It also helps to make the job easier by posting rents and late fees. With this software I would be able to print lease agreements, tenant notices and even daily bank deposit slips!! I love technology and anything that makes my life easier...so this is right up my alley. I wanted to share it with you in case you might be interested as well. You can even get a free 60 day trial!

A New Kitty
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I'm not seriously in search for a new kitty. I know...kind of sudden, but I'm very excited. I've been in touch with many people, and have narrowed it down to two!! I know that which ever I choose I will be happy with her. A little kitty will make such a nice companion. I will share pictures once I have gotten her. Oh, and her name will be Mylie!

Medical Software For PDA
Thursday, July 24, 2008 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Now Doctors can have the convenience of quickly and easily looking up information like drug dosing, side effects, and health plan coverage without havnig to leave the exam room. How you ask? Well, Epocrates, Inc has made a PDA medical dictionary. This is perfect, because over 50% of doctors have a PDA or smartphone and carry them with them all the time!! how convenient is that? I think it's great that they are now able to get a drug guide guickly. If you're like me, waiting in a doctor's office is not my idea of fun. This makes it better for both the doctor and the patient. This announcement was paid for by Epocrates

AC Back On!
Wednesday, July 23, 2008 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I'm glad to hear that my mom's air got fixed yesterday!! I guess it was getting pretty hot in there...like up into the high 80's!! It definitely makes me appreciate my air...something I usually don't think twice about and probably take for granted more than I should. The little things in life that we would not be able to live without...one of them being AC!! I was happy to hear that their house was feeling lots better and that the dog stopped panting.

As an employee of John Deere we get some wonderful perks. One of those being a membership to our workout facility there. It has actually worked out very well, because my girlfriend Renee is a personal trainer for an internship she's doing there....so I choose her as my trainer. Now I go there at least three times a week and she trains me. It's a lot of fun. If that's the career path she chooses....she'll do a great job!!

Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk
Tuesday, July 22, 2008 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I got to thinking about Alzheimers today and how many people are affected by the disease. Not only those who have it personally, but family members as well. Almost everyone I know has someone in their family who has dealth with this disease. If it's not someone in heir family, then it's someone they know and are close to. This shows that it's a disease that is continuing to interfere in people's lives and one that needs to be stopped. The problem is, we really don't know a whole lot about it. My Grandmother has Alzheimers and has for many years. It's so sad to see her memory just deteriorating. To see someone who was so smart live in a state of no communication is very sad. She doesn't know anyone or know anything that is going on around her. I would love for researchers to be able to learn more about this disease so we can help people like my Grandma. How about you? Would you like for there to be steps towards learning mroe? If so, I have great news! We can help in this process.

The Alzheimer's Association has a Memory Walk to raise awareness and money for care, support and research!! This is the nation's largest even for this purpose and can be found in more than 600 communities one morning in the fall for a 2-3 mile walk. Would you like to become a team captain or the Alzheimer's Memory Walk or part of this event to walk and make a difference? If so, head over to their site to learn more about how you can get started. It's definitely worth your time.

Slow Week
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

For some reason this week is going extremely slow for me! I'm not sure why?! Maybe it's because Renee isn't around so my nights just drag on?! I sure hope this isn't how it's going to be for the next month while she is gone on vacation....that could get pretty boring and tiring to say the least. I'm just really looking forward to the weekend and to having some time to just relax with the family again. Hopefully the next few days will go faster than the last couple of days.

Air Purifiers
Monday, July 21, 2008 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Last year around this I was beginning to become more health conscious and realized how helpful an air purifier would be in my apartment. I feel like the air I am breathing is now cleaner because of having one and it's something I recommend to others all the time. So far I feel that it's really helped my allergy problems and makes me feel healthier too. Are you looking for an air purifier? If so, you should really check out aircleanersguide.com. They offer a great guide to buying well-rated air purifiers. Head over there today and see what you think!

No Air
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I sure feel bad for my mom this week! She told me today that their air conditioner is not working. I think this is really too bad, as it has been SO hot and humid where they live right now. She is home from work today and can hardly stand it. She has all the fans going and it's still not helping much! I sure hope they can get it fixed for her soon...that would be miserable. I'm sure she doesn't even want to think about running the stove or anything like that right now.

Small Business Opportunity
Saturday, July 19, 2008 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I'm currently considering a small business opportunity that has presented itself to me. I'm not sure though what to do. I currently have a job that it is great...it pays well and really doesn't require me to have to make money elsewhere. I do love computers and design though...so this particular opportunity would be right up my alley. I'm going to have to wait and see how things work themselves out...but it may be something that I pursue on the side down the road.

Early Night
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Although I am online right now, it's definitely going to be an early night for me. I have to take my girlfriend up to the airport at 3AM, so needless to say I really need to get rested since I have to drive over 2 hours. I'd like to get some sleep so that I'm rested to golf tomorrow with my dad and my brother-in-law as well. I suppose I better start thinking about heading that direction...hopefully I'll be up to posting more tomorrow.

Biofuels Are Important
Friday, July 18, 2008 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

The World Biofuels Industry issued a letter to the OPEC about their misleading and untrue statements about the role of ethanol in the world oil markets. What's great about this letter is that unlike OPEC's claims....it is full of firm information. According to The World Biofuels Industry, ethanol is somewhat of a threat to OPEC and it seems OPEC doesn't like that. I wanted to get the word out about this letter and the truth about increasing energy prices and how biofuels can help...something we all are probably aware of. You can learn more about reading the actual World Biofuels Industry Open Letter to OPEC.

Weekend!
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

YEAH!! The weekend is finally here. I'm going to wait for Renee to get off from work, then we're heading back to see my family. She flies out to see her family in California tomorrow....so I am excited to get to spend some time with her before she leaves. I have been waiting for the weekend to come all week...and am so happy it's here! I was really busy this week, so it will be nice to relax and enjoy my time with family.

Grandfather Clock
Thursday, July 17, 2008 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I have often talked about my excitement to find a house of my own. I have been looking around, but with the housing market the way it is...I haven't had any luck so far. One of the first things I want to do when I move into a house is buy some more furniture, specifically a grandfather clock!! I have always thought this would be a nice item to have in our home. I was looking around today just for fun, and found that 1-800-4clocks.com had a lot to offer. Have you ever been there before? I was amazed at all the new clocks that they have. The Traditional Grandfather Clock stood out to me right away! I would definitely find a special spot in my home for this...probably right in the front room so everyone who came to visit would see it!! Not only do they have lots of clocks to choose from, but they also have a very informative blog that I learned a lot from too. I really enjoyed the post about how clocks can make a good room better. I agree completely and thought it was a very good point! Having a special piece in each room is what makes it so wonderful. Don't you think?!? If you'd like to learn more about Grandfather clocks are maybe looking for your own Howard Miller Clock, check out this site first!

Nicer Weather
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

The weather is finally starting to turn nice outside. Hopefully it continues so we can have a nice weekend. We're going to go to a parade with my family, then I have to bring Renee up to the airport which is quite a drive. Finally on Sunday the plan is to go golfing for my Dad's birthday. I hope that the sun is out and that's just pleasant for all these events. It's just no fun when all it does is rain!

Orovo
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I don't know all there is to know about diet pills, but with time and the research I've done...I learn more and more. It seems that one of the most popular brands is Orovo, that I see anyways. Orovo has many different products out there...one that catches my attention the most though, is
Orovo detox. This has been a well known product of theirs for quite some time. It helps eliminate the harmful toxins in one's body naturally each day. If you'd like to learn more about it you can check out Orovo's site today! It's actually quite interesting.

New Sink
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

My sister and her husband have been working hard on doing some things to their new house. They are wanting to start remodeling one of their bathrooms and currently are in the market for vessel sinks. I know this style isn't for everyone...but it's something that they really like and want to find. I hope that they find what they're looking for. I think it would really look nice with the plans that they have for the rest of the bathroom.

Gloomy Weather
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

What a gloomy day it is today! I didn't know that it was going to storm as badly as it has been all day. It's been thundering and just pouring rain outside. I know that we could use the rain, but maybe not quite this much. There's something about this kind of weather that just makes me sleepy too. I'm glad the work day is over so I can just go home and relax. Maybe even take a nap if I'm lucky!

ComsumerPriceWatch.net
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

It seems that every time I turn on the television or the radio, I am hearing more news about diet pills. Thankfully this is not something that I personally need...but it always catches my attention because what if I do need something like this one day?!? With all the diet pills out there, how would I even know where to begin to choose the best one for me?? It got me thinking and I decided to do a little research and see what I could find. The internet is a great tool!

As I researched, I came across ConsumerPriceWatch.net. They offer a completely unbiased review site for diet pills! What I like best is that they let you know what the top 10 best diet pills are on the market with reviews. It's always great to hear what the consumers have to say about their experiences with the products so this is something that I definitely appreciated. After finding this site I really felt it was something I should pass on to others who may be looking for the same answers as I was.

Head over to their site if you'd like to learn more and get more information. It's really user-friendly and easy to navigate so it will be easy to find whatever it is you're looking for!!

Bittersweet Weekend
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

The weekend is almost here and it's actually bittersweet for me this week. Usually I'm super excited for a weekend to come...in fact, usually it can't come fast enough! However this week is a little bittersweet...because although I do get to go back and see my family and relax some...it's also the weekend that Renee leaves for a couple of weeks to go visit family in California. I'll really miss her. I'm sure the time will go fast though, and it's nice she can do that each summer. Her family misses her too.

BillsIQ
Wednesday, July 16, 2008 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

What if I told you that there's a place to check your Bills IQ?! Would you be willing to take it to help find out what you understand hwo you can improve your financial score and ways of thinking? When I found out about BillsIQ on Bills.com...I went there right away. I really wanted to see where I rate when it comes to the knowledge that I have, and the actions that I take to manage debt and stay out of it. I am happy to say that after taking this little test, I got an 85% or B as a score. With our world the way it is...and so many people in debt...I was pretty proud of this. I would say this score tells me that I'm financially fit and is actually pretty good for someone just beginning life on their own. I really thought that this was a good way for me to see where I may need to improve and where I am doing well. I see that I'm doing well keeping myself out of getting into debt further, but may want to focus on ways to invest money so that I have it in case of a "rainy day". If you'd like to learn more about BillsIQ, head over to their site and give it a try! It's completely free, so you have nothing to lose. It's very informative and I think you'll see how helpful it is in helping you attain financial health and getting Debt help.

Going to the Parade
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

It's been a while since I was able to go to a parade. In fact, I can't remember the last time I went to one. This weekend is our town's big celebration weekend though....and I am going to go to the parade with my parents and my sister and her family! It will be fun to see my niece there and how she reacts to all the neat floats and things. I guess she did really well at another parade she went to on the 4th of July...so we'll see. I'm really looking forward to it!

Not Much Time For Play
Friday, July 11, 2008 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I sure have been working a lot lately. I was really getting a lot of time to play on the computer and update my PS3 blog more...but now that I've been working so much, it's been hard to make any more changes that I was hoping to make. Oh well...I guess that's part of being in the real world now...and not just in college. I love where my job is taking me...and I guess I can always find time to work on my websites another day. At this point in my life I need to remember what my priorities are...and work definitely comes before play.

Electronics Guy
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I am kind of the go-to guy in my family for any thing related to electronics. When my parents were looking for a TV...they asked me what my opinion was. When they were looking for a new, bigger LCD Monitor lcd monitor for their desktop computer...I was the one they asked. I'm glad that they feel they can come to me with questions regarding things like this. It's something that I've always loved, and have been very knowledgeable about since as long as I can remember.

Wonderful Job
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Working for John Deere is great! It's my dream jb and I couldn't ask for anything better!! I really like that we have access to stores and sites that offer some really great gear made by John Deere. I've been able to by myself...as well as my family some really nice things so far. I even have been approached by some people that are friends of my family...who want me to get them a hat...a shirt...etc. It's nice that other people enjoy John Deere as much as I do.

New Glasses
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I was back visiting my parents this past weekend over the holiday...and I was talking to my mom when all of a sudden I realized that she had new eyeglasses on. Her old ones were pretty nice, but these were really stylish and just looked more like her. She said that she had just recently seen the eye doctor...a much needed visit...and was able to find a new pair of glasses that suited her better. I really liked them and will be sure to look for a new pair for myself next time I go.

Rainy Weather
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

We've been pretty lucky to have such nice weather this week. It's been beautiful out!! A little warm...but all in all it's been a very nice week. I enjoy weeks like this...because I get to spend a lot of time outside. I even sat out on my porch a few times, just enjoying the nice weather. We don't get enough of this kind of weather, so I have to soak it up when I can. Unfortunately we're supposed to get some pretty bad storms tonight...but then it will clear up again which is nice.

Today is Thursday...that means one more day and the weekend is almost here. For some reason this week has gone extremely slow!! I think it's because I had planned to have Monday off...and then ended up working. Thinking I was going to have it off and then not probably made it that much longer. Oh well...it's been a good week and the good thing is the weekend is almost here!

Be a Money Making Machine
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I was just thinking today what a blessing it is to be able to make a little money online. It was something I never would have even thought was possible a few years back...and now it's a great source of extra income for me and my family. I guess I got to thinking about it recently because I'm on vacation and still able to make money. Anywhere there's a computer...I can make money. It's always nice to have that to rely on. I'm glad I found that blogging for money can be such a fun and easy thing to do to make a little extra cash.

Shop Wiki
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I don't know about you, but I really enjoy shopping online!! With the busyness of life...between work and other things...shopping is the last thing I want to go out of my house to do. That's why I enjoy online shopping so much. It's convenient and easy...and something I can do from the comfort of my own home. I am particularly hooked on ShopWiki.com. This is a great site that finds ever store on the internet by crawling kind of like Google does. They don't just show stores that pay for placement...they show everything on their shopping directory! I like that they take the customer into consideration and not just their own profit.

So what's so great about this you ask? Well, you can now find everything for sale on the web...right in one place!! ShopWiki.com is that place and they want to make shopping for you a breeze. For instance, with it being summer many people may be shopping around for team sports items such as basketball, softball, baseball and more! If this is you...you simple can go to their site, search and find the sales you're looking for!!

Everything is laid out so nicely....they want to make everything as easy and convenient as possible. I was totally impressed with the ease of use. For instance, I was looking for basketball shoes. I went in, searched and came across the team sport basketball. Right after clicking on that there was a list of other categories...one of these was shoes. It's that easy to find what you're looking for. So why not give it a try today! Take a moment and head over to their site and see what you think. You won't be sorry you did!

Summer Weather
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Do you think it feels like it should already be July? I sure don't!! I can't believe that summer is practically half over already. It feels like it just begun. I sure hope it goes by slowly...at least more slow than the first part. I really enjoys summer, and do not want the cold weather back for a long time! I'm looking forward to spending lots more days outdoors in this warm and beautiful weather. How about you?

Furniture
Sunday, July 06, 2008 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

This weekend I was home talking with my sister about the updates they're doing in their basement. She was telling me about the furniture that they would like to get down there....one thing being the flat screen television and tv mount. I thought this was a great idea. They don't have a really large area there...so it will be neat to see something like that in there. They really have some great ideas....I'm excited to see it all finished!

Eye Troubles
Wednesday, July 02, 2008 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

It's come to my attention in the past couple of weeks that I really need to get to an eye doctor. I sit in front of a computer a lot at work, and when I get home from work....and having better glasses would sure help out a lot. I tend to get headaches lately...specifically when I am starring at something a long time, like my computer screen for instance. I think that I may need a new prescription or something?! I hope not because that's a lot of money, but if it would help keep headaches from coming then it would be worth it!

Fireworks
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

One of my favorite things about the fourth of July is the fireworks. I especially like the ones down where I live...but since we'll be back home I must settle for those. No, just kidding, those are pretty good too. It's weird...watching the news today I heard that many of the surrounded towns are canceling fireworks all together to save money. Isn't that absurd? I was pretty surprised, but no one really seems to be throwing a fit about it.

Paintball
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Have you ever played paintball before? It's actually a really fun sport, and one that I'd like to do more often if possible. I got to thinking about this the other day and came across ZephyrPaintball.com as I was looking for a site that offered gear and equipment necessary to play the sport. This was the only site that really stuck out to me. They offer low prices and free shipping on paintball guns, goggles, airsoft rifles, equipment and gear! Whether you're looking for hats, hoodies, paintballs, jerseys, or something else...they really have all you need. Check out their site today to learn more about all the great brands that they carry!!

Photo Shop
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Lately I've really been into designing different things using Photo Shop. I guess I never realized how fun it is to design your own pictures. I love the way that you can manipulate pictures, here are a couple of pictures that I have done. My niece wasn't originally in the one picture and nothing was in the glasses of the other.

Shop Online
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Shopping online has definitely become a hobby of many people. It's easy and convenient. Shopping on television is something else that's become quite popular. You can do both of these things with the Cable Shopping Network. They make it simple to find the products you're looking for...especially when it comes to collectibles, like presidential dollars for instance. In fact, they have grown so much that they have come one of the most successful retailers in the collectibles industry. If you're like me and like that sort of thing, then you can find even more information on their site. They have a great variety of items available. Check it out, or on TV, and see what you think! I don't think you'll be sorry you did!

BlueAnt Bluetooth
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

More and more states are now outlawing people from being on their cellphones while they drive. It has yet to happen in the state of Iowa, but I can only imagine that it will only be a matter of time. So I have prepared myself with the BlueAnt. BlueAnt is a hands-free bluetooth car kit. BlueAnt is smart enough to connect to my phone right when I get in it, and instead of hearing my phone ring, BlueAnt tells me who's calling. It is so clear, not only for me, but for the people I am talking to. I would definitely recommend for anyone who is in their car a lot.

The 4th of July is Almost Here!
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I am so excited to have a 4 day weekend! Not only do I have Friday off, because of the 4th, but I took off Monday the 7th. I am excited because I get to do all the things I love. I get to be with my family and my favorite, and only, niece, and I get to jet-ski. My brother-in-law's family owns two jet-ski's and love riding them. It's going to be great!

Baby Gifts
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

When my sister had her baby I had no idea what to buy for them. I wasn't quite sure if they were having a boy or a girl...and to be honest, I'd never had to buy baby gifts before. Next time however, I will know exactly where to go for the right gift. The Nest Baby Shop is a great place where you can find cute and creative gifts for babies, moms and even siblings. They have everything form apparel to blankets. I like all the unique personalized gifts that they have available...definitely something that I'd like to get for my sister next time she has a baby! Check it out for yourself and see what you think.

Blog For Money

I was just thinking today what a blessing it is to be able to make a little money online. It was something I never would have even thought was possible a few years back...and now it's a great source of extra income for me and my family. I guess I got to thinking about it recently because I'm on vacation and still able to make money. Anywhere there's a computer...I can make money. It's always nice to have that to rely on. I'm glad I found that blogging for money can be such a fun and easy thing to do to make a little extra cash.

Cute Video

I got an e-mail from my sister today, telling me to check out her blog after I got off work. I went int there right when I got home and loved her most recent post. She wrote about my little niece and how much she is growing and changing. She said how she is constantly trying to keep her camera by her every second so she doesn't miss a thing. Well, recently her daughter was sitting on the floor playing when all of a sudden she started squealing and making all sorts of "jabbering" noises. My sister grabbed her camera and began videoing. It is the cutest thing and I was so glad that she uploaded it to her blog!

Picture in Picture

I bought this new 46'' Vizio LCD TV about a month ago and hadn't quite figure out all the features of it. Mainly the PIP (Picture in Picture), it is one of the main feature that I think that I would use, but couldn't figure it out. I have digital cable with a DVR and HD and using the HDMI cables I thought that I could just use regular cable for my PIP but I could get it to work. But finally I figure out that I needed to split the cable before the digital box instead of after. I have PIP!
