Plasma TV
Friday, November 30, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I love electronics. In fact, one of my new favorite toys is my plasma tv. Even though I don't have a huge living room to put it in...I still really enjoy having it in my apartment. Watching my favorite shows on this television is amazing!! One thing I'd like to get for it is one of those plasma tv lifts. I think these are really neat and it would be perfect for my small place. If you've never seen a plasma tv lift, you should really check them out.

New Camera
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I'm pretty excited because for Christmas I'm getting a digital camera. This is something that I've been wanting for quite some time now...especially with having a new niece and nephew around. I know that I will get much use out of it...and wish that I could have it early. Oh well, I'm sure Christmas will be here before we know it and soon I will be able to take all the pictures I want.

Dating and Relationships
Thursday, November 29, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Anyone who has ever been in love knows how wonderful it can be!! I am in a wonderful relationship and can't describe how great it feels to have someone in my life that I love with all my heart and that I would do anything for. This is the girl of my dreams and the one that I would like to marry someday! Finding the perfect person takes time and usually happens when you least expect it. You can't rush love and you can't make it happen if there aren't any sparks there. I'm so happy that I found my soul mate and I'm sure there are many others out there who are happy they have found theirs. The one thing I always try to keep in mind is that I want to continue to be romantic and let her know how much I love her often. If you haven't found your one and only yet, or are trying to getting back together with them, don't give up!! Like I said, love can come along when you least expect it. Dating and relationships can definitely be difficult, especially when a break up is involved...but knowing that in the end you can find someone who is perfect for you is so worth it! So, whether you're dating, in a relationship, married or looking for a relationship remember to stay positive and always make that special someone in your life know how much they mean to you. I recently came across a site that I really enjoyed looking through. Romanceforeveryone.com is a great place for people to go who are looking for romantic ideas, articles on love, dating tips and so much more. If this sounds like something that interests you, definitely check it out today!

Bad Weather
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I was watching the news tonight and it looks like the weather this weekend is not going to be nice. I was hoping that winter would continue to hold off...but it looks like this weekend we could be in for our first snow storm of the season. I am hoping that the weatherman is wrong and that it passes or ends up as rain or something, but I guess we must prepare for the worst. I think I will plan on staying in this weekend and not making any plans to head out and travel any where to far...just in case the weatherman is right and the weather does get bad.

Coupon Chief
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I was just thinking today how quickly this week went by, and then began thinking how soon Christmas will be here. I'm sure it will be here before we know it, which means I need to start thinking about gifts that I want to buy. The two main people that I'm thinking about this holiday season are my new niece and my new nephew. Both were born this month and both deserve something very special this Christmas...as it is their first. I know my sister said that she would love to buy some clothes for her daughter, so I'm thinking Old Navy would be a good choice for her. My brother and his wife shop at Target a lot and said that there are some things there that they would like for their son. It will be easy to shop for them using Coupon Chief. This site is great and has Old Navy Coupons and Target Coupons that will help me get great deals on the things I buy. Do some of your holiday shopping on this site today and make shopping easy and fun this year!

Almost Friday
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Wow did this week go by quickly! I can hardly believe that tomorrow is Friday already. Don't get me wrong though, I'm not complaining in any way. I'm very happy that it's already the weekend and that I get a couple days to recoup and relax a bit. It sounds like the weather isn't going to be very nice this weekend, so it will be a great weekend to stay indoors and enjoy spending time with Renee.

San Diego
Wednesday, November 28, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I have been to California a couple of times, but one place I've never visited and would love to at some point is San Diego. My girlfriend is from California and she has told me all about how wonderful of a city San Diego is. I think one of the biggest reasons why I want to visit San Diego is the zoo there. I've heard it is just incredible. Being an animal lover, this is something right up my alley. It would be great to take my girlfriend there as well...as she just loves the zoo and has been there many times. In looking around for information on everything San Diego has to offer, I came across Trusted Tours and Attractions. They are a wonderful site that offers discounted tickets to different tours in many different cities, like Savannah, including Sand Diego. In looking into some of these tours, I am very interested in learning more about the San Diego SEALs Harbor Tour. I like what this tour has to offer because you get to tour the great city of San Diego by land and sea. I think this would be absolutely amazing and something I'd never forget! Something else I was very impressed with about this site was that you can sign up for the Trusted Travel e-Newsletter and entered in a drawing to win 4 free tickets to the tours of your choice. This offer only goes until December 14th, so if you're interested learn more on their site today.

Snail Mail
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Sometimes it seems that our postal service does not mail things very quickly. I have been waiting for a package for quite some time now and still haven't received it!! I can't believe how long it's taken...and am actually beginning to wonder if it's going to ever come or not. I may have to get in touch with the person who sent the package to see if they have any idea why it might be taking so long. It's just kind of frustrating when you wait day after day for something and it doesn't show up.

Journey Lite
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Many of you may have heard of Journey Lite before. They specialize in lap-band surgery, a procedure to help people lose weight. This is where an adjustable gastric band is placed on the upper part of the stomach to reduct the capacity and restrict the amount of food that one can eat. This helps the person who is trying to lose weight eat less and feel less hungry. It's a very safe surgery and the least invasive type of weight loss surgery out there. I'm quite impressed with all this surgery has done for people who struggle with being overweight. If you'd like to learn more about this procedure, check out Journey Lite's site today.

Getting a workout
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

My sister had a doctor's appointment and she was telling me that since Scott couldn't go with her, she had to get Kaelyn ready and take her along. It's much more time consuming to get a baby read and herself than to just get ready and hop in the car. I guess the hardest part about this was trying to carry the carrier that Kaelyn was in from the car to the hospital. She said her arms are achy today...as that is quite the workout.

Hoodia
Tuesday, November 27, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

There are so many people out there who try all kinds of different weight loss pills and appetite suppressants. Losing weight is very important to some people and it's crucial that they find the right products to assist them when needed. I have recently been looking into some of these products and especially am impressed with hoodia. Have you ever heard of it before?? If not, you should look into it.

Work
Saturday, November 24, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Right before I left work for the holidays this week I noticed that they were replacing some ceiling lighting fixtures near my office. It looks like quite the big job, as these ceilings are very tall and not easy to get to. I'm pretty sure they will still be working on this project when I come back from my holiday time off, as it seems that it's a job that won't be able to get done in just a couple of days. I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

Variety in Music
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

There are so many different kinds of music out there which I think is great. People have such different kinds of tastes in music so it's nice to have variety. For instance, if you enjoy Van Halen, you may be interested in learning about the Van Halen tour, or maybe you're interested in more contemporary music?! No matter what your taste in in music, it's sure that there's something out there for everyone!

My Job
Wednesday, November 21, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I just love everything dealing with technology, which I'm sure many of my readers know by now. I am fortunate enough to have a job where I get to work a lot with technology and the things I love. Lately I've been in charge of getting fiber cable and some other things that we need. I love having ordering and buying responsibility...especially when it deals with technology and things I know a lot about. I feel so blessed to have a job that I enjoy so much!!

Baby Site
Tuesday, November 20, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Are you a new parent who is wondering where you could get a baby haircut or where you can find the best stroller for your little one?? If so, then you should check out the new addition to the Knot Inc., Lilaguide.com. They are a place where parents can go to find real reviews on the things they're looking for. Whether they're looking for local baby stores, quality gear, services or something else...this is the place to go!! My sister would really appreciate a site like this being a new parent for the first time. How nice to have place where parents can find honest opinions on the things they have questions about. If you're a parent and need some guidance...check out this site today!

New Clothes
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

My sister was pretty excited last night when I talked with her. Her sister-in-law sent them a bunch of clothes for Kaelyn that their little girl had already grown out of. Jen was so thankful and appreciative to her for sending out so many nice things for Kaelyn to wear. Baby clothes are not cheap, so hand me downs are much appreciated. I guess there are some really nice and cute outfits for Kaelyn to wear. That was sure nice of Kerri to do for them!

Tired
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

For some reason I've been awfully tired lately!! I'm not sure if it's this cold weather or what...but all I seem to want to do is sleep!! I'm feeling fine...I mean I'm not feeling sick or anything, but I'm just feeling exhausted. Maybe it's just all the working I've been doing lately?!? I think this long weekend will be good for me. I will be busy with Thanksgiving and family, but I'm sure I will still have plenty of time to rest which will be nice. Hopefully I will come back to work next week feeling much more refreshed.

Software Security Solutions
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

As someone who enjoys computers and technology very much, I know how important it is to have internet security. The problem is, it's very time consuming and expensive to get all of the protection you need for your computer. That is, until now! Software Security Solutions is a great resource for Computer security software. They offer a layered security solution where you can find Anti Virus, Anti Spyware, Exploits, and Firewalls all in one place!! This is very convenient for the consumer and saves them time and money!! That's probably the thing that I found most impressive about this company. If you're interested in finding the most comprehensive software out there and learning more about ESET...look into this site today!! You won't be disappointed!

Blogging
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I suppose I better start thinking about signing off for a while and getting something done! It's going to be a very busy week and I should really get some of my work done so I'm not overwhelmed come Wednesday afternoon. I will try and get on later in the day and continue to do some blogging. I find it hard to to sign off, because I just love blogging so much...but the work really needs to get done.

Yummy Cereal
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I don't know about you, but I get on kicks when it comes to cereal. It seems like I go through spurts where I have a favorite cereal that I just have to have each morning. Lately it's been cocoa krispies. I just love the chocolatey flavor and the way it turns the milk chocolate! I know, I probably sound like a giddy little kid, but really...it's so good!! Other times I tend to get on Lucky Charms kicks or Fruit Loops even sometimes. I know that much of this is full of sugar, but it's just so good...who could resist?!?:)

What is a good camera??
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Does anyone have a good suggestion as to what a reasonably priced digital camera would be?!? I really am looking for something, not too spendy, but good quality. Now that I have a niece and nephew...I know that taking pictures is going to become one of my new hobbies!! A new camera that would take quality pics would be great...but I just don't know that much about them to know what would be a good buy?!? If you have an suggestions I would love to hear.

Posted By: Jake - Comments:

If you're from Mesa Arizona, then you've probably heard of Cameo Pools before. They are the oldest pool company in Mesa, having been around since 1977. They not only want to build great pools, but also want to provide customers with the best prices and service out there. They aren't the type of company that makes the most expensive pools, but you will find great quality and value when working with Cameo Pools. They offer high quality pool construction, az pool remodeling, and so much more! They are a family owned and operated company that builds 200-300 pools a year and offer custom pool packages. If you're looking for a great a pool company...look no further than Cameo Pools!!

Great job
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I am SOOOO thankful for the different blogging companies out there that allow people like me and you to make some extra money online. It's so nice to have some extra income flow and blogging is so fun and easy to do!! I know that my sister is really enjoying doing this as well. She's a stay at home mom, and the extra income is perfect for them!! She likes to contribute to their income when possible, and it sounds like she's doing a great job with all of her blogging that she's been doing.

Soup or Spaghetti?!
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I was just thinking what I could have for lunch. We made some spaghetti a couple of nights ago, and I thought that sounded pretty good!! I also have some vegetable soup in the fridge which is sounding pretty good too. I guess I'm just going to have to see what I feel like when my lunch break comes today. The soup is calling my name though because of the cold weather outside.

Journey Lite
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Journey Lite is a network of surgical facilities that have skilled professionals who provide the safest and least invasive type of weight-loss surgery out out there today. This type of surgery is called the Lapband System Procedure. This is where a surgeon places an inflatable adjustable gastric band on the upper portion of the stomach. It makes it so the person receiving the surgery will feel full more quickly, hence not eating as much. This in turn helps them to lose weight safely and quickly. What I like best about this kind of weight loss surgery is that it can be reversed if necessary. You can't say that about many other types of surgery out there. If you're interested in learning more about the Lap band system and what it could do for you or someone you know who struggles with weight...check out their site today.

Things to do
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I was just thinking of everything that I need to do before I head home on Wednesday for the holiday. I really should get some cleaning done tonight around my place. I usually do this on the weekend, but didn't get to it this weekend. I also need to do some laundry so I have some clothes to wear for the thanksgivings that I need to go to. I guess I will be pretty busy these next couple of days, huh?!!

In the news
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

The stories in the news never cease to amaze me anymore. I mean, if it's not celebrities getting in trouble for one thing or another, it's other stories that are happening in our world today. I mean today I get online, and the first bit of news that I read is about a body found in Brazil that may be a former basketball star. It's just weird to me that there are so many sad stories like this. I wish that there could be peace in our world and that this violence would stop!

Flower Shop
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Flowershop.com is a site that I recently came across that I wanted to share with my readers. They are a family-owned online florist in Arizona and have been around since 1972. They are committed to giving their customers the best flowers and service out there. They actually work with thousands of different florists across the nation so you can send people flowers no matter where they are in the country. You not only can send flowers though...they will also deliver gift baskets, plants, a chocolate gift basket and so much more!! Head over to their site today to see what they have to offer. You can even find helpful information on their blog!! Take a look today and see what you think!

Time Off
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

My girlfriend is getting pretty excited, because soon it will be Thanksgiving and we will get the chance to have some time off from school and work to spend time together. I'm really happy about this too...as it's not too often that we both get time off to spend together. It will be nice to get back and see both of our families as well!! It's nice being with someone who also values family and time spent with them.

Changing Everyday!
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

My new niece Kaelyn will be three weeks old this week. My sister has been keeping me informed on all the new things Kaelyn is doing. I guess she's getting a lot stronger, and when on her tummy can lift her head really well. She is also starting to roll over already, which I thought was just amazing!! I never knew that a baby this young could already roll over. I can't wait to see her again...as I know she's changed in just the couple of weeks that I haven't seen her.

Capella
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I don't know about you, but at some point I think it would be great to go back and get a graduate degree. The only problem is, I have a full time job and don't have much time. That's why I've been looking into Capella University. They are an online university that offers a number of different graduate and undergraduate programs. They make it easy for students to get a higher education from the comfort of their own home. They currently have 20,000 students from all 50 states and 56 different countries!! If you're busy like me, but would like to pursue a higher level of education at some point, check into capella university.

TV Shows
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

As I've written in the past, I kind of like the different Reality Television shows that are out there these days. I must admit that some of them go a bit too far...but I still I enjoy them for the most part. One that I thought was more for girls, is The Hills. My girlfriend really enjoys this show...so many Monday nights I find myself watching it with her. There's always a lot of drama which makes it quite interesting. After having watched many episodes, I now have to conclude that even a guy can become interested in a show like this.

Ink Cartridge
Saturday, November 17, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Have you ever wished that there was an easier way to go about getting the ink cartridges that you need for your printer?! I know I have!! It's always a chore for me to remember which one I need. Now this will not be a problem with Cartridge Finder. They make it easy to find the cartridge that you need for your printer, copier or even fax machine. They have cartridges available for over 10,000 different models out there. What's even better about this site is that they check PriceGrabber.com to make sure that you are getting the best price on the products you purchase. Take a look at their site today and see what you think!

Lots of Sleep
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I recently talked with my sister and it sounds like Kaelyn is doing great! She had a few days there where she wasn't sleeping that well at night, but they've started to have better nights after that. She gives them about 8 hours of sleep a night total...which I guess is pretty good with a newborn in the house. I sure can't wait to see her cute little face again!!

Buying A Home
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Buying a home is something that I never thought much about until my sister and her husband bought one this summer. They've told me so much about the home buying process. Now I know so much more about everything from getting a loan to finding a real estate franchise. It sounds like a lot of work...and something that I'm not ready to do quite yet. But when the time comes to shop around for my first home, I know who I'm going to turn to!!

In Texas
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Sounds like my parents made it down to Texas yesterday and really enjoyed their drive down. I guess it was pretty relaxing for the most part...without a whole of traffic except in the big cities. They're having a good time so far spending time with my brother, his wife and Emry!! It's nice that they could make it down there. I wish I could...but unfortunately due to work, I'm going to have to wait until Christmas to see the little tike.:)

Score
Wednesday, November 14, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Math is another one of those subjects that can be so difficult for young children. This was a subject that I never really enjoyed. In fact, I often got so discouraged with it because I didn't understand some of the things we'd learn. I wish that I would have known about Score Learning centers back when I was in school. At least I do now though...for the sake of my own children one day. They have Math Tutors who are willing to work with children ages four-fourteen in an innovative tutoring environment. From what I've read and researched...they make learning fun and meaningful...two very important things in my opinion. If you'd like to learn more about them...take a look at their site today!

Pretty Cool...
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I know I've been talking a lot about my new niece and nephew lately...but I'm just so excited to finally be an uncle!! One thing that I think is really neat is that my sister had a girl and my brother had a boy. The funny thing about it is that my sister's baby looks a lot like her and my brother's baby looks a lot like him. The fact that they are twins, got married 8 days apart and now have babies 12 days apart just adds to the amazement of this situation. It's pretty cool if you ask me?!!

Christmas Lights
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Did you know that the incandescent Christmas lights have been around for over 100 years!! I just recently learned that and was quite amazed. I guess that's why they seem so outdated. I mean, did you know how energy inefficient they are...not to mention how expensive and bad for the environment they are?!! This year I'm thinking about buying some LED Christmas lights instead. The reason is because they use 1/10th of the energy and last way longer!! They are also very durable...unlike the other Christmas lights that I've dealt with in the past!! These reasons alone have caused me to start looking for LED lights instead. I am quite impressed with the energy that can be saved by using lights like this, and I think you will be as well. Check out this site to learn more!

What a blessing...
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Baby's are such a blessing, aren't they?!!! It's still weird to me that both my brother and my sister now have babies of their own. Less than a year ago they didn't have any children...and now they're both parents to two beautiful babies! The reality of it all didn't really hit me until the two babies were born!! I can't explain how neat it is to have two babies in the family and to become an uncle for the first time!!

She absolutely loves clothes, so I'm definitely going to have to do some shopping with some Old Navy coupons. The greatest part is I can do my shopping online while saving money with coupon codes through the Coupon Chief!! Shopping will be a piece of cake this year! If you'd like to make shopping easy this year, and save money while you're doing it with promo codes...look into coupon chief today!

Yeah!!
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

My nephew is finally here! After two long weeks of waiting for his arrival...he is finally here!! I know my brother and his wife are just thrilled to finally hold their baby boy in their arms. I wish that we didn't live so far away...because I would absolutely love to go down and see him. Unfortunately I will have to wait until Christmas to see him...so hopefully that time will come quickly. For the time being, I'm going to have to enjoy all the cute pics that they've been sending out.

Still Waiting
Monday, November 12, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Now that my sister has had her baby....all of us are waiting for my sister-in-law to have her baby. She was two weeks overdue this past Saturday...and is finally starting to show signs that she is in the early stages of labor. We're all anxiously awaiting a phone call from her and my brother telling us that Emry has finally arrived!! I can't wait to see pics of him.

Nice Weather
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

This weather outside has just been beautiful. It's a little cold...but it's much warmer than the weather we were having last week. In fact, there were a couple days when snow actually fell. Thankfully it didn't stick...but it's a sure sign that winter is coming soon. I guess that's ok though. Winter weather is what makes the holiday season feel like it's finally here. We'll just have to make sure to stay indoors once the bitter cold finally hits.

Recruiters
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

A.E. Feldman Associates, Inc is known for their dedication to the recruiting field. They help industry clients find the best candidates for the jobs that are open. They work to help both the employer and the employees, which I think is great!! They want to help build a strong relationship between the two and to make successful placements each and every time. One reason why they are so successful is because the recruiters have all worked in the industries that they represent. This is helpful because it makes them more knowledgeable about the job that they are recruiting for. If you'd like to learn more about them and how they can possibly help you out with an executive placement, take a look at their site today.

Renee is Dogsitting
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Renee heard that my parents dog was not acting too well around the baby this past week. She said that she'd gladly take her while my parents are in Texas so that my sister didn't have to deal with her and the baby. My parents were happy to do this, as they know Jenna has a lot to deal with lately with recovering from her surgery and taking care of Kaelyn. So, yesterday Renee and I took Zoe down so she could stay with her for a week or so. I think Zoe will really like it down here.

New Niece

It's been so much fun hearing all about my new niece lately!! I was going to try and make it up to see her and the family this weekend, but decided to spend some time with Renee and her family. Hopefully I will get lots of time to see Kaelyn over Thanksgiving though. The last time I saw her was when they were leaving the hospital last weekend...so I know she will have changed a lot by the time Thanksgiving rolls around. From what I've been told, she's already starting to fill out and get some of those cute baby rolls.:)

Costume Jewelry

My girlfriend loves jewelry of all kinds. If we're walking through the Mall we usually stop in at the local jewelry stores. She also enjoys costume jewelry of all kinds. When I travel I like to shop for unique pieces. It's fun to go on line and find bright and fun new things. I'll have to see what I can surprise her with next.

Bathing the Baby

I heard that tonight grampa helped Jenna bathe Kaelyn. WOW! can you believe that? It didn't go to bad. She was crying some. He put the pacifier in her mouth and she was happy. I guess she smells pretty good now.

Yummy Recipe
Thursday, November 08, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Christmas time is a time of many yummy foods. I have always enjoyed all the sweet foods the best. My mom has some of the best recipes for things like cookies, fudge, etc. and I just can't wait until that time of year when I can enjoy it all again. My favorite thing that she makes around this time of year is probably her Christmas Molasses Sugar Cookies. I know there are many sugar cookie recipes around during Christmas time, but hers are the absolute best. They're soft and just melt in your mouth...YUM! This is a recipe that's pretty special to me because it's one that's been handed down from generation to generation. I can't wait to make these cookies for my own kids one day! Everyone enjoys them too...so it's a fun thing to give to others during the holiday season as well. The one thing I will have to do when I make these cookies is look for a new mixer. Mine is ok...but I definitely need a more powerful one with more features, like the Hamilton Beach® Mixer. That would be perfect for making these, because I would make lots of batches of them over the holidays. If you're looking for a great mixer, check out the Hamilton Beach® Stand Mixer today! You won't be sorry...this Eclectrics® Mixer is just what we've all been looking for. The following is the recipe for anyone who like to check it out and try it with their new mixer:

Christmas Cookies
2 C Flour
2Tbl Soda
1/2 t.salt
1tsp cinn.
1C Sugar
1/4 C molasses
1 egg
3/4 C crisco

Mix ingredients in mixer and then drop balls of dough on greased pan. Press with spoon and then dip in sugar. Bake at 350 degrees.

Baby Gift
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

My girlfriend and I were so happy that we were able to go back and see our families this past weekend. I was particularly happy because we got to go up and see my sister and their new baby. Kaelyn is just precious!! I have never been an uncle before...so this is quite the experience. I'm so excited for them to get the baby gift that I ordered. I had planned for months to get them something John Deere...and once I found out that Jen was having a girl...I ordered the cutest little outfit. I'm so excited to see Kaelyn in it sometime....she will look so cute!

Krillion

My brother-in-law would absolutely love a new flat screen TV....maybe a sony 46inch LCD. At some point I know that he and my sister will start looking for one more seriously, and when they do...I am going to fill them in on what I know about Krillion. Krillion is a localization search engine. You can search for products based on location and pricing. What's great about the HDTV market, is that prices are getting more and more reasonable..making it much easier for people to afford them. I know that my sister and her husband will soon be more serious about getting one, and they will do much research online to find the best one for them. Krillion makes it easy to gain information about the products your looking for, while finding a place to get them as well. If you're interested in finding something like a new flat screen TV...check Krillion out first!

Baby Kaelyn

I talked with my sister recently and sounds like she is loving being a new mommy! Kaelyn is so sweet and really pretty content most of the time. From the sounds of it, she has been waking up a bit at night, but nothing too bad I guess. Scott and Jenna still are able to get a good nights rest most nights, which is important since she has them very busy these days. I hope that as time goes on she continues to be a really good baby for them.

Alzheimer's Foundation
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

When I was in high school I worked in a nursing home. I really enjoyed working with the elderly, but also hated seeing all that they were facing. I would have to say the saddest circumstances were those who had Alzheimer's. Shortly after working there, we found out that my Grandma also had Alzheimer's. It was so sad to see her lose her memory and fade so quickly. She was so smart and I never would have imagined that she'd lose her memory and now be in a nursing home where she can't do anything on her own and doesn't recognize anyone. It's such a sad disease and one that I would love to see a cure for at some point in the near future. This month is actually a great way to get people more aware of this terrible disease and ways that they can help. I say this, because it's actually Alzheimer's Awareness Month. I just think it's so important for people to be aware of this disease, the affects it has on people who have it and their families, as well as the early detection and memory screenings that people can do. If you know someone who is suffering from Alzheimer's now is a great time to get them screened!! It's so important, as it really does enhance one's quality of life! If you're interested in learning more about Alzheimer's and Successful Aging Tips, I would recommend you check out the Alzheimer's Foundation of America website. I for one am a huge advocate of getting the word out about this disease now that I've learned more about it. You can learn a lot on their site about ways you can help, and how you can contribute to this foundation...what a great holiday gift. Check it out today and see what you think.
