Buying a house
Friday, September 28, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

A family friend of ours recently moved down to the Phoenix area, as he accepted a teaching position there to teach high school health. Teaching jobs can be really difficult to get where we are from, so when he was offered a position, and in such a nice warm part of the country...he and his wife jumped at it! From what I understand they are both teaching now and really love it down there. They learned a little bit about Phoenix real estate before they went down...and were fortunate enough to find a great house to rent. I'm glad that they're enjoying it down there. It sounds like a great place to live and work.

Not much longer...
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I am really looking forward to heading back to see my parents tonight. I always enjoy going home, spending time with them and just relaxing. We do have quite a bit planned tomorrow, but I am planning on relaxing tonight and Sunday. It should really be a great time. I'm especially looking forward to seeing Zoe, their dog. It's been a while since I've seen her and I miss her.

Love Reading
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Are you someone who enjoys reading? I've always enjoyed it, especially reading on my own time...not so much the reading that I had to do in college. If you're like me and enjoy reading new things, you should take a look at Love Reading. It is free to use, and you'll be able to check out new fiction and non-fiction books. It's a great way to see what the books are like before you actually buy them. I think this is great, because I'm always worried I will spend my money on something and then hate it. It's also a great place to find reviews written by others, and hear their recommendations on different books. I always enjoy hearing what others have to say as well. I really like that this site actually send you e-mail newsletters to inform you of new books that are out. It not only helps you keep up to date on the latest and best books, but also keeps you reading which is so important in my opinion. If you're looking to save time and money when it comes to books and reading, then you should definitely check out this site!

Good Appointment
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

My sister told me that she had her 36 week appointment yesterday afternoon. She said that it went so well, which was good to hear. She's pretty excited, because next week (at 37 weeks) she's considered full term...so any time after that she could have the baby. She's pretty excited about that. She said it was fun to listen to the baby's heartbeat again...she always enjoys that. I'm glad that she's enjoying going to all of these appointments, because it sounds like now it's every week.

Real Estate
Thursday, September 27, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

If you're someone trying to sell or buy real estate in Phoenix or Scottsdale, then I recommend you take a look at the Holm Group. Here is where you'll find a professional and reputable real estate agent that wants to help both buyers and sellers alike. In fact, the Holm Group has actually created some great websites that are geared in helping people sell and buy homes. These sites actually rank very high with sites like Yahoo, MSN, and Google...which is something that clients will appreciate. I was really impressed with what this site had to offer. They have free AZ MLS search, so you can search for mcdowell mountain ranch homes for instance. They also have free custom MLS Searches, and even Free Arizona Golf and Subdivision Maps. If you're liking what you hear, than I strongly suggest you go head over to their site and check it out today.

One month and counting...
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Well, the countdown pretty much begins today for the arrival of my two nieces or nephews. October 27th is my sister-in-laws due date, and October 28th is my sister's due date. So, I figure since it's already Sept. 27th...the countdown might as well begin. That means that there's exactly one month until these babies are due!! YYEEAAHH!! I can't wait. I'm really excited to be an uncle. I've been hearing so much about these babies, their names, etc...that I'm just so anxious to meet them. Hopefully the time will fly by.

Sproose
Wednesday, September 26, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Have you ever heard of Sproose before? If not, then you should know that it is a new kind of search engine that allows people who use it to vote. Vote for what you might ask? Well, users can vote on their favorite websites. This helps to bring up rankings of the search results. It's really pretty neat. Basically the more people you get to vote on a site, the higher it gets on the index. I really like how it brings people together with common interests. This is done by having users share the sites they've voted on with other users. Sound like something you'd be interested in checking out? Then click here to try sproose.

Need Groceries
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

For lunch I looked and looked and could not find anything that I wanted to eat. I'm getting very low on groceries and really should get some soon. I decided to have a ham and cheese sandwich. It's not my first choice for lunch, but it was pretty good. That with some grapes and water made me feel like I was having some what of a nutritious lunch anyways.

Ecommerce Software
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

As someone who is interested in business and technology, I was quite intrigued to learn about Ashop shopping cart software and what they can do for those who are running their own small-medium sized businesses. Ashop ecommerce software makes it easy for merchants to sell online. This helps them to not only increase their revenue, but also builds a larger customer base. I think it's great that there's software out there, easy enough for anyone to use. There's no installation necessary, and getting started is a piece of cake with all of the features and designs they have to choose from. From the sounds of it, Ashop also has great technical support and are always willing to help you with any questions or problems you may have. They also are willing to let you try their shopping cart software for 10 days free! I thought this was great for those who aren't quite sure, and just want to try it out and see what they think. At some point I think I may even take advantage of this offer. Their site is very informative and has all the information you will need to get started...so check them out today!

Wednesday
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

It's already Wednesday...so that means my week is half over already!! Yeeaahhh!! It's not that I don't like my job...but I just really enjoy my weekends and days off. I'm especially excited about this weekend since I'm going back to see my family. I haven't seen some of them for months, so it should be a good time. I'm glad that Renee gets to go back with me as well!!

Tattoo Lovers
Tuesday, September 25, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Wow, I never realized how many great dating sites there are out there. I have a friend who's been wanting to find a dating site that suits him perfectly. He's not really big on some of these dating sites that are more of a "one size fits all" type of site. He wants something that focuses in on his personality and interests. I am happy to say I think I've found the perfect site for him. It's a tattoo dating site that helps bring together tattoo lovers who are looking for tattoo singles. This is exactly the type of site that's he's been looking for and I can't wait to tell him about it. It's even free to join, which he'll love even more! If this sounds like a dating site that you'd be interested in, I strongly suggest you take a look today!

Sound like a plan!
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

For some reason today I'm just not in the mood to be working. I'd much rather be home on the couch with a blanket. It's a bit chilly today, and kind of gloomy. I'm not wild about that kind of weather, but it sure makes a nice day to just be at home and on the couch with a blanket and the television. I think I may have to consider doing this this afternoon. Sounds like a plan to me.

Movie Time
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I'd love to go see a movie tonight, but I'm not sure which of the movies are worth seeing and which aren't. The movie, Good Luck Chuck kind of looked good, but then I heard that many people did not like it at all. I also heard that the Brave One was good...but don't know much about it. Isn't that the one with Jodie Foster in it? Who knows...maybe we'll just go out and rent a movie or something. We'll see.

Senior Dating Site
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I have never used a dating site out there, but I know many people who have. By the sounds of it, there are so many out there to choose from...it can actually make choosing quite difficult. I think if I were looking for a dating site for myself, I would find one that focused on people who had the same interests as I do, or those who have people around the same age as I am. One good site out there for seniors for instance, is Dating For Seniors. This is actually the first senior dating site that I've ever come across, and I think it's great that there is one out there. Thousands of single seniors have already joined this great site and are waiting to make a senior match with other senior singles. Join for free today and see what you think.

Still Tired
Sunday, September 23, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I'm feeling rather tired today. Even though I have had much of the weekend to relax and bum around...I'm still awfully tired. I think I may take a nap this afternoon, just so I don't start the week off feeling this tired. If I do that, then I definitely will be tired next weekend which wouldn't be good because we have my Grandpa's birthday party. Hopefully this nap will help some.

Golfing Again...
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

So last weekend my parents were down and got to golfing with my girlfriend and I. It was actually my mom's first time golfing, and we had SOOO much fun. I was happy to hear that she and my dad actually did some golfing again this weekend. I'm glad that my mom is enjoying it so much, and that it's a new hobby my family and I can do together.

Junk E-mails
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I was just telling my sister the other day how tired I am of all the junk mail I get in my e-mails these days. I used to have an e-mail, but got so many junk e-mails, that I switched to another one. Now I have been receiving lots of junk in that one too. Even though e-mails have junk filters these days...it still doesn't seem to help. If I don't check my mail for a day...by the time I get around to it I have 20 or more e-mails that are pure junk!!

Car Talk
Saturday, September 22, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

For anyone that knows me fairly well, you know that I am a guy who likes cars. Ever since I got my drivers license, I have always enjoy cars. I like everything about them...their engines, their interior, their exterior...everything! I have even been known to add some modifications to my car, like rims, spoilers, and body kits to make them even more sporty. Recently I have been considering a billet grille. I think one of these would look phenomenal on my car. They are so sleek and luxurious looking and something that I would absolutely love to have at some point. How about you? What modifications would you like to make to your own car?

My Dream Home
Friday, September 21, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I was just thinking to myself today all of the things I'd like to do to a home of my own one day. I just have so many things that I want in a house...I can see why buying a house is such a big decision. I know my sister and her husband had specific things that they were looking for when they bought their home and I'm so glad that they found the perfect place. I know that when it comes time for me to look for a home I want the space to put a home theater in. I want home theater carpet, the system, lighting....it will be great!

One week
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Only one week left until I get to go home for the weekend. It's been way too long since I've been home. I'm looking forward to seeing my sister and her husband and their new house and also my parents dog Zoe. Oh, and of course my parents too.:) I always miss them. It will be a busy weekend with my sister's baby shower and my grandpa's birthday...but that's ok. As long as I get to spend it with family I'm happy.

Home Improvements
Wednesday, September 19, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

My sister and her husband recently purchased a new home. In fact, it's their first home...so they were pretty excited about it. It's a very nice home...one that they could move into without having to do much to it right away. Although it is very nice, there are still conservatory that they like to make to the home down the road. There's painting to be done, remodeling to be done...the list goes on and on. The nice thing is that they have time to do it and that there's no rush. When it does come time to improve on some things in there home, they're going to want to find a good company like Anglian who is known for their quality products. You should check out their site if you live in the UK and are looking for a well-known company whose been around a long time. There's much to choose from...no matter if you're looking for windows, doors, a conservatory, etc. So, what are you waiting for? Check them out today.

New Hotmail
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Does anyone else use hotmail for an e-mail account? I use them as one of my accounts...and I was surprised to see that they had changed my hotmail account to their new live hotmail. I was kind of bummed, because I really liked the old one. I"m going to have to get used to this live hotmail now. It seems alright, but I wish that they wouldn't have just changed it over. If I wanted to do that, I would have done it myself.

Karisma
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I don't know about you, but I would love to stay at the Karisma Hotels. They are Mexican Riviera Maya Resorts, located right there on the beaches! What's great about Karisma, is that they offer a new Gourmet-Inclusive concept. Basically it's for people who love great food! Here, you won't find buffet style eating...but you will be served and waited on. YOu will get to eat wonderful food by amazing restaurants and also enjoy the luxurious accommodations and entertainment that they have to offer. If great food, relaxation, and luxury sound like you're kind of vacation...then you should definitely check out Karisma for more information!

Now that I'm working...
Tuesday, September 18, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I know I say this almost every week...but where has this month gone?!! I am just amazed at how quickly time goes once you're out of school and in the working world. When I was in school time went fairly quickly...but nothing compared to now when I'm working full time and busy all the time. It's crazy that it's almost the end of September already!! Hopefully winter will go by just as quickly as the summer did...because I know I will be anxious for the nice weather again.

Slow computer
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I find myself preferring my laptop a lot more these days! It seems that the desktop I use to do my work on is just so SLOW! No matter if I'm just checking my e-mail or browsing the web, it seems to take forever just to load a page. I know that many people out there have this problem, and many times it's due to an overload on your computer. Unfortunately for me, the overload on my computer is a lot of work and things that I can not get rid of. I may have to start saving more things to disk to clear off my computer a bit.

Restaurant Business
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Have you ever heard of Mission Restaurant Supply before? If not, and you are looking to open up your own restaurant, then you should definitely take a look at their company and what they have to offer you and your business. They have thousands of things in stock, so ordering your things and getting them is no problem. And...if you can't find what it is you're looking for, you can call and talk with a representative who will help you find it. Isn't that great?! Check them out and see what you think.

Squirrel watching
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Have you ever noticed in the fall how many squirrels you see outside. I just love to sit out on my patio and watch them. I think they are just the neatest animal. During the fall they are getting ready for winter, so you see them gathering a bunch of nuts and things. I like the squirrels down here where I live because they are more friendly than some squirrels you might come across. This is a college town, so I think they're just used to a lot of people around or something.

Quick Lunch
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Soon I am going to have to take a break from working on the computer and from blogging. Although I love being online and working, I must find some lunch soon. My stomach has been growling for the past hour now and I need to get some food before I start to feel sick. I'm think leftovers are the choice for today...so it should be a quick lunch and then back to work I will go.

Online University
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

If you are in a profession that has a very demanding schedule, but you would like to look into going back to school to further your education, then I strongly urge you to take a look at Columbia Southern University, a completely online university. They have degree programs that are actually created to work around your work schedule...making it easy for you to work and go to school at the same time. What's great about this university is that they offer all kinds of programs, associate, bachelor, and graduate! So, no matter what kind of degree you're looking to get, you should be able to find what you're looking for with Columbia Southern University. Take a look and see what you think! This may be just the answer you've been looking for.

10 more days!
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Only 10 more days and I will get the chance to go back home. After not being home for over 2 months I really start to miss it. I miss not getting to see my family much, and I miss not getting to go home and just relax. My Grandpa is turning 80 in a couple weeks, so I'm going home to help him celebrate with the family! It should be a great time. I am really looking forward to it and hope these next 10 days fly by!

You never know...
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

What a gloomy day. It's hot out again, but it's cloudy and been kinda rainy all day today! I can't believe how different the weather has been each day. For a while there it was so cool outside that I had to wear long sleeves...now it's hot and humid again with rain! I guess you never know what the weather is going to do here in the midwest. We have to be prepared for cold and hot weather every day during the fall.

Orlando
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I am sure there are many of out there who have tried to look for a hotel in orlando, Florida before. The reason why I think this, is because this is one of the greatest places to go on vacation...especially when you have a family. If you've been in my position, and have wanted to find the best hotels in Orlando, then you should know about the site, Orlando.com. They give the best prices on all kinds of hotels in the area. Not only that, but they also provide great prices on car rentals and flights as well! I was really impressed by this website and all that they had to offer, and I think you will be too. OJ in jail?
Monday, September 17, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Did you guys here that OJ Simpson is in jail without bail!! I heard this yesterday on the news and was happy to see that just because he's a celebrity, he's not getting special treatment this time. If he in fact was a part of this ordeal in the Las Vegas hotel, which I strongly believe that he was, then I feel he should do the time and face the consequences of his actions. Sometimes I feel people who are in the spot light, think they can get away with things just because they're famous. Not just OJ, but these young girls like Lohan, Hilton, etc. I'm glad that people are starting to treat them as equals to the rest of us.

Trustedplaces
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I recently came across a great site that I wanted to share with you, my readers. Trustedplaces is a site that allows users to find great places to eat, drink, and just find a nice place to hang out with others. You can search places like London, London restaurants, or other favorite places that you might have across the world!! You can also post your opinions and reviews on the different places that you've visited as well. I thought that this was a great site with things to offer that many people would appreciate. In using this site I found that it was very easy to use and navigate. I encourage you to check it out and see what you think.

My Dad
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

My dad sometimes has to come down to a city near where I live and do some work. Today is one of those days when he had to work down here, and since he's getting off work so late...he's going to be staying here at my place. It's always nice when my family members can stay with me...at times it gets lonely living by myself. I'm thankful that he will be here and that we can spend some time together.

Rock Tumblers
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I am the type of guy who loves tools and machines. It's actually what I do for a living. I got some really neat kinds of tools and things from my Grandpa after he passed away, and I think he is the main reason why I am passionate about this type of thing. He had all kinds of great things in his warehouse!! One thing he didn't have, but I think would be cool are rock tumblers. Wouldn't that be cool to have a rock tumbler. It's not something I know a lot about, but it's a hobby that I'd like to get into.

More movement
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I recently talked with my sister and she said how their baby is moving so much now!! She thought as he/she got bigger that she would not feel as many movements...but it's moving around lots more and the movements are much more noticeable and strong. She and her husband have so much fun watching the baby turn and roll around. It gets a little uncomfortable for her at times I guess though...like when the baby is kicking the ribs or something. She still loves it though. It's pretty cool when you think about it.

Gac
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Have you ever heard of Gac fruit before? I had never really heard of this tropical fruit until just recently while I was browsing the web and thought that many of you would be interested in learning more about it after becoming quite interested in what I learned. Gac is a fruit that has been known to have been used for medicinal purposes, especially in Asian families. It helps to boost our immune systems and also helps with your skin's health. Red Gac is a daily supplement that uses the fruits oils to help rejuvenate your skin. It is known as R.G. Skin Revitalizer and I think it's really a great choice for those who are looking to protect their skin because it's an all natural product. That's one of the things that I thought was so great about this product, and something I thought many of you would appreciate as well. If you're interested in helping to keep your skin nourished, then you should consider taking a look at R.G. Skin Revitalizer. It is rich in antioxidants to help give your skin the nutrients it needs. If any of this sounds like something you'd like for yourself...I strongly encourage you to take a look at their site and learn more. You'll find all kinds of information about this natural product and why it's so great!

A water kick
Sunday, September 16, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I've been going through the bottled water like crazy lately. I don't really even know why, as the weather is much cooler and not nearly as hot or humid. I just have this urge to drink water over anything else these days. I always have a bottle of water by me, no matter where we are. It's just the best thirst quencher and I feel better drinking that than I do coffee or pop or something. The only thing is, bottled water is expensive...so if I continue drinking 5-7 bottles a day, we're talking quite a bit of money.

Weight Loss Supplement
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I'm sure there are many people out there who have used, or considered different types of weight loss supplements. I know I have considered many, but never know what I should try and what I shouldn't. I guess the best way to know is to read reviews and find out what each supplement has to offer. I for one am looking into the Thermadrol weight loss supplement lately, and I recommend you take a look at it as well. This is known to help you lose weight quickly. It's actually the strongest weight loss supplement out there right now, having 21 active ingredients. If you'd like to learn more about this supplement, check out their site today and Get Thermadrol for the lowest price here.

I love it!
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

My sister let me borrow her golf driver with the big head and I absolutely love it!! I would love to have of these of my own sometime...but she was nice enough to let me borrow it and use it for the rest of the golf season. She pregnant right now anyways...so she's not doing a whole lot of golfing. I'm excited to get to use it more and more...and hopefully at some point find one that I'd like to buy for myself.

Martin Worldwide
Saturday, September 15, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

If you know anything about Martin Worldwide, then you know that they are the largest and most successful mailing list provider out there today. They offer mailing lists, telemarketing lists, and fax lists for small business and clients. They are known for the products they offer, especially that of ResponseCom. This is a mix of US Response and US Consumer databases, giving users a very versatile product. You know this is a good product, because many decades went into planning and making it just perfect for it's clients. People who use it have higher response rates, more profit, and more business opportunities. I really thought this sounded like a great Telemarketing Lists Broker, and I think you will too. Check out their site for more information.

6 more weeks
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

It's kind of weird...but I was just realizing today that my sister and sister-in-law are both due with their first babies in like 6 weeks!! I can't believe how quickly the 9 months have gone by!! I'm really looking forward to being an uncle. I know that I'm going to have a nephew, but my sister and her husband chose to wait and be surprised so we're all wondering and waiting to see what they will have. Some are thinking it's a boy, and some are thinking girl...who knows. Kind of exciting to wonder though.:)

Two weeks
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I'm pretty excited that September is going by quickly, that means only two more weeks until I go home to visit. I haven't been back home for two months and I really can't wait to go back and see everyone. It will also be fun to go and just enjoy my family's company and just relax. I'm hoping to get to make it up to my sisters new home as well...as I'm hearing their new house is really nice!!

Credit Cards
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Knowing somewhere that can help you search, compare and apply for credit cards is a very good thing. If you know of a place that can help you find the best credit card for your situation...then you won't have the hassle of sifting through all of that junk mail that you get each day in your mailbox. CreditCardSearchEngine.com is the place where I go for help like this, because they are the longest running site for credit card comparison on the web. It makes it really easy to find a credit card by well known issuers like Bank of America, Visa, American Express and many more. You can find all kinds of cards too....ones with low interest, those with rewards, even a Small Business Credit Card. Take a look and see what you think.

Link between weight and fertility
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I recently read an interesting news article about the link between teenage weight and the ability to have children when they're adults. I found it to be quite interesting that it's been found that if teenagers are underweight or obese when they are young, that they will have fewer children in adulthood. Had you ever heard of this before? I hadn't until today...that's why I found it to be quite interesting. I guess it's particularly true of women who have weight issues as teenagers and who go on to have fertility issues as an adult, but men also struggle with this problem as well. I guess it does make sense though. It's easier to have children if both people are healthy and have lived a healthy lifestyle throughout their younger years as well.

My Mom...the golfer

My mom has never golfed before, well besides miniature golf that is, so today will be her first day golfing for real! She is gonna come out with us and just hit a few balls. She even borrowed my sister's clubs, so she must be serious about trying this sport out.:) I'm glad she is...as I think she'll really like it once she gets the hang of it. I'm sure my dad will be able to give her some golfing tips and she'll be a pro in no time.:)

Updates
Friday, September 14, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

My sister and her husband recently bought a new home. There are many changes that they want to make to their home and different updates that they'd like to do down the road. There are things like siding, finishing the basement and basement bathroom, etc. that they'd like to do over the years. Overall they really liked their house though, and the yard. They were happy that they didn't have to go out shopping for mail boxes at all either. Some homes around them do not have the nicest mailboxes, but the man that lived there before them had put in a really nice and sturdy one...so that was good for them.

Lots of Fun
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I am really happy it's Friday!!! I always look forward to Friday's especially after such a long week. Most weeks go pretty quickly, but this one kind of drug on the second half of the week. I'm just glad that this weekend I will get to play some golf and relax with my parents and Renee. It should be a really great time. We'll go out to eat and do some shopping to I think. Fun, Fun!

Black Friday
Thursday, September 13, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I've never been a big shopper, but one day of the year that I really do enjoy shopping is Black Friday. I like going on this day because there are such great deals to be found. It's a perfect day to find all of those holiday gifts that you're wanting to buy for others, and maybe even yourself. The only thing about shopping on this day is that it's really quite the hassle standing in long lines and dealing with all of the people who also like to go out and shop on this day. I am happy to share with you a Black Friday site, black-friday.net, that I recently came across, that allows you to get the same great deals from the comfort of your own home with out dealing with all the crowds and long lines. You can shop online at your favorite stores and find great Target Specials and Best Buy deals. After hearing how easy this is to do, I'm definitely going to try it out this year. They even will send me e-mail updates on new black friday ads that are being put out....it doesn't get much better than that. If you're like me and enjoy shopping on Black Friday, but don't like the hassle of the crowds and lines, then check out this site today and see what you think. You won't be disappointed.

Doing posts
Wednesday, September 12, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

On days like this I really miss when PayPerPost used to let us do three posts a day on our blogs. Most days I don't even come close to filling my blogs with opportunities from PPP, but today they have had a number of opportunities that I've wanted to take...and unfortunately taking only 2 per blog limited what I could take. I guess I have to remember that they cut it down from 3 to 2 for a reason. They were getting so many bloggers that they needed to do this to be fair to others who want to get opportunities as well. Hopefully we'll just have more days like this when I can take lots of opportunities and fill up my blogs.:)

Tastevine
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Are you a wine lover? If so, then you should check out Tastevine, an online community to help you connect with others who love wine. As a part of the TasteVine community, you are allowed to create something called a TasteID. Basically you do this by tasting and rating 12 wines that are the same wines that someone else in the community has tasted and rated. After doing this, you will be connected with TasteBudds who have the same TasteID as you. I had never heard of this before, but thought it was quite interesting and wanted to share it with my readers.

Do you like bees?
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Sometimes I will just search the web looking for the latest news. That's the easiest way for me to find out what's going on around me since I work most of the day and don't watch the news often. One thing I learned today that I thought was pretty interesting is that a colony of "killer bees" was found near New Orleans. These bees aren't generally in the area and aren't something to take lightly. They aren't any bigger than other bees, but more vicious. They attack in groups, which is cause for concern. It seems to me that those who are outdoors a lot should be on the look out for these bees, and find a place to go quickly if they spot one of these bees. I for one do not like any sort of bee, so I sure hope that these bees don't move north.

Ready for a new diet?
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

If you're like me, you get sick of hearing about all of these diets where they make you eat certain food and practically starve yourself to lose weight. The problem with diets like these is that once you stop...you gain back all of the weight. That's why I was excited to hear about a diet called, The Cheat to Lose Diet. It's basically a diet that allows you to cheat by eating the foods that you love, like french fries, ice cream and more! Wouldn't you love a diet like this? One that allowed you to eat all of your favorite foods?!! I know I would. This type of diet controls a hormone called leptin, which is linked to your metabolism. It basically gets your body in the fat-burning mode. If you're interested you should really check out the site and learn more. You'll get an online program customized just for you with meal plans, fitness plans, and so much more! Check it out and see what you think. This is a paid post.

Life without the internet...
Tuesday, September 11, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I don't know about you, but I just love browsing the web. Each day I find something new that I had never heard of our learned about before. Whether it be things happening in the news, or the discovery of new products and sites...browsing the web is one of my hobbies when I am not busy at work or busy otherwise. It's amazing to me how much the web has to offer...all we have to do is go out and find the things we are looking for. I still remember when my parents got the internet and when I set up my first e-mail account. It's weird, because it doesn't seem that long ago, yet I hardly remember what it was like not having the internet. What would we do without in today's world?!!

Holiday Shopping
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Can you believe it's already the holiday season? Starting next month we have Halloween, then in November Thanksgiving, and then Christmas is right around the corner from that. It seems like that time of year goes by so quickly...I wish it would last all year long as I love the holiday season! I'm sure, if you're like me, you've already started thinking about what you're going to be getting everyone in your family for Christmas this year. My mom would love one of those jewelry armoir things, so I'd love to be able to get that for her. My dad would probably like anything to do with golf...maybe a new golf club?! Now that I'm getting into golf, I would love to buy him something like that for Christmas. When I'm looking to get my parents these great gifts, I'm going to turn to Coupon Chief to help me out. They offer current coupon codes that will help save me money. I think I can get most of my shopping done at Target and GigaGolf and find great Target Deals and GigaGolf Deals. Check them out today and see what you can find your loved ones this holiday season.

Blog for money
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I'm not sure how many of you out there have taken up the hobby of blogging, but if you have, I urge you to take a look into blogging for money. It's not something that I knew much about before I got started over a year ago, but it's been such a blessing...one that I enjoy sharing with others. Blogging for money has made it possible for me to live more comfortable because it allows for a second income and more cash flow. I recommended this opportunity to many of my family members already, and they are just loving it. My mom is enjoying saving for vacations and other things, my sister and brother are both saving up for their children, etc. There's so many things that a little extra income can be used for...and this is so easy!

Black Friday
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I've only ever gone out shopping on Black Friday a handful of times. I love getting all of the great best buy deals and target specials, but I just don't like standing in the long lines and trying to get through all of the people in every store just to get to where I'm wanting to go. It's such a great day to shop because of all the great deals, but the crowds just aren't for me. That's why I like the site, www.black-friday.net. It's such a great site because it allows people to still get those great deals for their Christmas shopping, while giving them the chance to do it from their own home online. This is my kind of shopping!! I'm definitely going to be taking advantage of this site this year, and I am going to share it with all of my family and friends who I think might appreciate it as well. I was already impressed that there was even a site out there like this, but then found out some even greater news. They actually send out e-mail alerts to you to let you know of new black friday ads that are out. How convenient! It really is a very user-friendly site, one that I think you should all check out. Who knows...maybe you'll find that shopping from home is something you'd like to try this year?!

WOW!!
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I am just loving this beautiful weather that we've been having. I know that I've been talking about it a lot lately...but you don't understand how tired I was of the hot and humid weather we were having!! Now, thank goodness, I don't feel that the mosquitoes are nearly as bad because it's so much cooler out than it was before. I feel like I can actually breathe when I walk outside without all of the humidity and really enjoy the cooler weather over the heat. I sure hope it lasts!! If it does, I will enjoy spending more time outdoors...especially golfing this weekend.

Being a Homeowner...
Monday, September 10, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

My sister and her husband recently purchased their first home. Now that they're all settled in, they are noticing some of the things that they would like to change down the road. There are walls that they'd like painted, carpet that they'd like to be laid, and a kitchen sink that they'd really like to be replaced at some point. It's a nice sink, but they'd just prefer to have something with a little bit of a different appearance and have been looking around at kitchen sinks for quite some time now. I don't blame them for wanting to make the house their own and make changes to it over the years...that's the beauty of being a homeowner and not a renter.

Nice Weather
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Today's weather is a little bit different than what the weather has been like recently here in the midwest. Instead of being hot and humid, it was cold and cloudy out. I was chilled when I walked outside with a t-shirt on. I guess that's the kind of weather we should be looking ahead to though...as fall generally brings on the much cooler weather for quite a few months now. Oh well, I almost like it better than the hot and humid weather we've been having lately.

Light Fixtures
Friday, September 07, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

It's weird....I'm online so much that it seems I come across so many different things that my family members have recently talked about buying or needing. For example, recently my sister was telling me that she was interested in getting some new light fixtures in their home. She said that they had been looking around, but hadn't come across anything that really caught their eye. Wouldn't you know it...I was browsing the web as I normally do and came across Murray Feiss Lighting, a great site that has lots and lots of light fixtures and options to choose from. Knowing that this is exactly what my sister has been looking for, I'm going to share this site with her.

Life's Changes
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I am just so happy for my sister and her husband. They had an idea of how they imagined their life going up to this point, and everything is falling into placed. They say all the time how blessed they are to be where they are at in their lives. They are soon expecting their first child which is one of the biggest blessings and miracles anyone could ask for. Scott also got a wonderful job last winter and they recently bought a house. The house was something that they really wanted to get done and settled into before the baby comes next month. They went through the whole real estate process and everything worked out great. It all went so smoothly. I'm glad all is going well in their lives and can't wait to meet my niece or nephew next month!

Colon Cleansing
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I'm sure many of you have heard of colon cleanse before, I know I have, especially in the most recent years. But, do you know and understand how important it is for your health and wellbeing? I didn't really understand this until just recently, but wanted to share with you. Colon cleansing does just that...it cleanses your body of harmful toxins and wastes. I think that right there sounds like a reason to look into it. It also helps to promote health. You should really read up on how beneficial colon cleansing is to your health...it may just make you want to try it out.

Time just flies!
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Well it's Friday!! I'm so glad that it's already the end of the week again. These weeks have just been flying by. I keep thinking, soon winter will be here and I will be an uncle before I know it. I don't mind time going quickly like that...just as long as by the time it's nice outside again that it slows down a bit.:)

Innovative Tutor
Thursday, September 06, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Have you ever heard of SCORE Learning Centers before? They are a program that helps children ages 4-14 improve academically in the areas in which they struggle. How you ask? Well, they offer a fun innovative tutoring environment that makes learning meaningful to children. In my experience, brining meaning to learning is the only way that something is going to stick and really make sense. If you're looking for a great Innovative Tutor, then I recommend you take a look at SCORE today. This is a paid post.

Time to Clean
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I think I'm going to have to take a break from blogging for a few hours so I can get some things done around my place. I'm going to try and get back on tonight, but who knows...I may fall asleep early, as I'm feeling rather tired today for some reason. I better get to the laundry and cleaning before I find that a nap sounds better..haha.

Reading Tutors
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

My sister is a teacher and she's talked about how there are so many students who struggle academically. Sometimes those children just need some additional one-on-one assistance, tutoring that a teacher can not give with 30 other students in his/her classroom. That's when I recommend Score Learning Centers. If you have a child between the ages of 4 and 14, and are looking for Reading Tutors, or another tutor to help with a specific subject are, I suggest you take a look at SCORE. They offer an innovative tutoring environment where learning becomes meaningful to children. I'm going to look into Score for my own children if they need academic assistance in school and you should too. This is a paid post.

Need Rest
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I made sure to get plenty of rest last night, but I still woke up feeling very sleep today. I think it's probably just because I've been so busy lately with work and other things. I'm going to have to take a nap this afternoon I think...otherwise I will just wake up even more sleepy tomorrow. At least the weekend is upon us...then I can just relax and get some much needed rest.

Multivend
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

In a recent web release, I read that multivend has recently added new products to make the Vendstar 3000 machine better. One of these products is the Vendstar EZ-Count Meter. This allows vendors to get exact change from each machine. Pretty handy if you ask me!! Another product that has been released is a 1" wheel that allows the machine to dispense gumballs and toys. I really thought this was great, because now vendors who use the Vendstar 3000 can expand their business and the things they offer. If you're interested in learning more about Multivend and would like to know how you could be a part of this great company, check out their site today.

God's Creation
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Where I live I don't get the chance to see much wildlife. I live in an apartment, and only have a small patio to go outside on. When I'm out there I enjoy watching the wildlife that we do have around here...mainly birds and squirrels. The squirrels are my favorite to watch, as they're so active collecting all of their nuts and things from the ground and trees. Enjoying God's creation is so wonderful...I wish I had time to do it more often.

Finishing the bedroom
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Scott and Jenna's house is pretty well furnished and finished except for their basement. They have a half bathroom that they'd like to make into a full at some point, they have an unfinished family room and one finished bedroom with no furniture. Their first order of business was to get some furniture for that bedroom, since it's already carpeted and finished. Thankfully, Scott's mom had an extra bed and dresser that they're going to be getting this weekend. They're really excited to start making that basement feel more like part of their home.

Karate
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I've never really gotten into the art of Karate before, but I know that there are many people out there who have. That's why I wanted to share with you a site, the KarateDepot.com, that I recently came across while browsing the web. If you're looking for a karate uniform, or the Karate Gi as some people might prefer to call it, then this is the place for you. They offer lots of different kinds and brands of uniforms at prices that you're looking for. Take a look and you'll also find product reviews, shipping information, and much more. If you're into Karate, or someone you know is, then this is the site for you.

This weekend
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Did you all know that this weekend, on Sunday, it's Grandparent's Day?? I didn't realize this until I was looking on the calendar that I have at work. So, this Sunday make sure that you send your grandparent's an extra e-mail, card, phone call, or something letting them know how special and important they are to you. What a neat way to recognize Grandparent's and how important they truly are.

My computer is so SSSLLLOOOWWW!!!!
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Sometimes I just hate using my desktop computer....it's SOOO slow!! It's about 5 years old and it definitely isn't as fast as it used to be. I think I may have too much stuff on my computer...I need to look over all of my files and folders and delete what I don't need...that would help a lot! My laptop on the other hand is great. It's so fast and much better to use.

ThinkFlorida.co.uk
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I'm sure many of you have been to Florida on a vacation before, but have you ever considered getting a Florida Holiday Villa there? I never had really considered this, until I learned more about it recently on a great website, thinkflorida.co.uk. To me it seems like an idea that I thought was worth looking into and I thought you may as well. This site also offers a wealth of information for those vacationing to Florida. You'll find lots of information here including, information on car rental services, ticket services, condo's, town houses, vacation villa's, and much more! Check out this great site and you'll find the things you're looking for.

FlipTrack.com
Wednesday, September 05, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I am the type of person who really loves technology...specifically when it comes to the computer and internet. I just love working with websites and that kind of thing. In fact, I've even helped family members out with setting up their own websites. It's just something that I love to do...and even get to do a little bit in the job that I have now.

How about you? Are you into technology and all that it has to offer? Have you ever thought it would be neat to create a website of your own? Maybe create fun music and slide shows to put on that website? I recently came across a great site that allows you to do just that. Fliptrack.com is a site that will make this easy and fun too! All you have to do is go onto their website and the rest is a piece of cake. This site is set up so well that they make it easy for you to use and navigate...so that you're able to find the things you're looking to do. Check them out today and see what you think.

Time for lunch
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I think I am going to have to take a break from working online and get something to eat. I'm just starving, and really am craving some of that leftover lasagna that my mom sent home with me. I will be back on later to post some more.

eVault
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Until just recently I had never heard of an evault before. From what I gather though, the electronic vault from Encomia is pretty neat, as it is made to store financial assets securly. It can store loan documents, like those from an eMortgage that are gathered after closing time. These documents are sent to the vault right away, where they are safe and can be transferred to investors, etc. I really thought this was a great idea. It seems that it would save time and money for those involved. If you would like to learn more about the evault, check out their site today. this is a paid post.

A great weekend ahead
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I'm really looking forward to the weekend already and it's only Wednesday. This past weekend I was thinking I might go home and see my family, but I ended up not doing that. So, this weekend I think I might go back and see my parents...as well as my sister and her husband and their new home. I'm hoping plans work out so I can do this...as I think it would make for a great weekend.
