I'm really glad that it's the end of the week and now the weekend is upon us. I have said it before that I love my job...which I really do. But after 5 days of working full time, I definitely enjoy my couple of days off on the weekend. It's just nice to relax and get refreshed for the next week ahead.

Are any of you big into eBaying?? I never used to be...but with time I have become quite the eBay fanatic. It's just amazing how many nice things people sell on there...new and used. eBay is was such a great idea...I can't imagine not having it. I've gotten so many nice things for such great prices. Amazon is another site like this that I use quite often.

I don't have to drive too far to work, but it's enough where I'm having to fill up with gas quite frequently. I always notice that gas is pretty much staying steady and not really decreasing any. It's tough to be able to spend that much money every week on gas. I've always wished that there was a way to save money on gas, and now there is. Tonight while I was relaxing on the couch and watching television, I noticed that the movie Hitch was on. I hadn't seen this movie in a while, so I decided to watch it. As many people know, I am huge into computer and technology. When I first moved into my apartment, the older lady that lives right below me did not like it when I would walk around late at night. When I was younger I went to Orlando with my family on a number of occasions. The Lord has truly blessed me with such a wonderful job!! When I was still in college last April...I was starting to wonder what I was going to do when I was done with school. Lately, and I think it's because of all the rain that we've had...I've been seeing more and more house centipedes. They are the ugliest things ever...and they move so quickly that they're almost impossible to catch. I've seen pretty large ones, but I've also seen tiny ones too. They seem like they could fit into the smallest crack or spot, making it even more difficult to catch them. Grr...

Now that I'm working full time in an office setting, I find myself needing pens a lot. I am actually the type of person who enjoy using pens more than any other type of writing utensil, and I like them to be unique. In fact, I love pens so much, that my girlfriend actually got me a really nice pen for my graduation from college last May. It was so nice...and she even had it engraved. I guess you can never have enough pens, right?!

I have only been to Las Vegas once, but it was so long ago that I don't really remember much about it, other than the hotels and casinos. From what I hear, they've added so much to that city...and there is so much for people who are visiting to do there. Someday I'd really like to go back, maybe stay at the Golden Nugget Las Vegas Vegas hotel and enjoy some of the things that they have to do there. I think that would be a lot of fun.

Real estate is something I've been hearing a lot about recently, especially from my sister who just bought her first home. She was telling me all that she and her husband had to go through to get their home....things like going to the bank, finding a Realtor, searching for homes, filling out paperwork...the list goes on and on. Someday I'd really like to move from this small state, to a state that has a lot more to offer...maybe one with bigger cities. Florida has always been a possibility, especially West Palm Beach. Someday when I do finally get moved down there, I'm going to do what my sister did where she lives, I'm going to look for West Palm Beach real estate agents who can help me find a great place to live. I'm glad I've had my sister talk to me about some of the home buying process already. I think that will make it much easier for me when I'm ready to do the same.

Have you ever visited Orlando before? I have and it is one of my favorite places to spend vacation. There is so much to do there all times of the year. It's a great place to go on Christmas, Spring Break and other times of the year because they have so much to offer. It's such a great place to bring a family, or just go with that special someone. It seems like every week I'm learning of a new reality television show...some of them being quite interesting, while others are just stupid. My girlfriend also enjoys watching some of the reality television shows...especially those girly ones.:)

I've been working for John Deere for almost 4 months now and I'm really loving it. This past week I learned of some very sad news about a young man that attended my old high school. My parents ended up getting that piano moved up to my sister and her husband's house. Thankfully they got it up there before any rain hit. I have a brother and a sister who are twins. It's kind of cool, because so far in their 25 years of life they've kind of done things the same and at the same time. Obviously they've always celebrated their birthdays on the same day and had graduations on the same day...which many would expect from twins. But get this...they also were married only 8 days apart, and are having their first children who are due a day apart in October. When I heard the news of the babies, i was just in shock!! I thought they were joking with me.haha It's fun though...I'm guessing that all of their children will be born around the same time.

I won't eat just any kind of frozen pizza though...my favorite is Digoirno. This pizza is so good because it's thick and really meaty. Yum!! Just thinking about it now makes me think that that's what I might have to have for supper tonight.

After watching my sister plan her wedding a couple years ago, I know how much work goes into them, and how much planning. I took a look at my calendar and can't believe how quickly the next couple of months are going to go by. It seems like every week I have something going on. Yesterday I wrote about Hurricane Dean and how they thought it may hit a Hurricane 3. Now, as it picks up speed and force, they're predicting a Category 5!! Oh my goodness...can you believe that. I truly hope that this is not the case, because that is one strong storm if they're right. The shuttle even had to come back early in case the storm really does get that bad. My prayers are with the people in the South.

It's so nice having my family down here with me for the weekend! It's nice being able to see their dog too. Zoe is a great dog...she actually used to be my dog. My parents paid half and an ex girlfriend paid half so that I could have her for C-mas one year. Turns out that throughout high school and college, mom and dad took more care of her than I did...they bought all her food, paid for the vet visits and paid for her haircuts...she's definitely become their dog, which is fine. She loves being with them so much. I'm just glad I get to see her once in a while.

Wow, it FINALLY stopped raining...can you believe it?!! It rained pretty much all day! I'm hoping that the rain is over and done with for the weekend so that I can enjoy my Sunday with my parents and even enjoy some time outdoors possibly. One full day of rain is quite enough, don't you think?!!

It's really nice, because every time that my parents come down we're able to go out to eat...usually to the Texas Roadhouse. I'm really looking forward to that...as this is one of my FAVORITE restaurants. They such good food there, but I enjoy the steak the most. I know that my sister is jealous that we get to eat there, because she loves this restaurant as well. Yum!

Today is a much cooler day and not nearly as humid!! That's the kind of weather I can appreciate. I was really sad to hear of the tragic news that three rescue workers trying to help find the missing miners in Utah were killed last night during their efforts. I guess there was some sort of a cave-in that injured six workers and killed three of them. How sad. I really hope they find the missing men soon...because it would be sad to lose any more men.

British Gas made the announcement that there are going to be two new green energy tariffs. The press release explains the benefits of the Zero Carbon Tariff and how it will help Householders. BRITISH GAS LAUNCHES GREENEST ENERGY TARIFF

9 August 2007: British Gas has announced it is launching two new green energy tariffs, Zero Carbon, which will be the greenest tariff available on the domestic market and Future Energy. British Gas has launched the tariffs, in response to the increasing demand for green energy products.

Householders signing up to the Zero Carbon tariff will:
• reduce their household energy carbon emissions to zero through Kyoto compliant offset schemes which will meet the new Defra requirements
• help fund a direct increase in investment in renewable energy generated in the UK
• contribute to the new British Gas green fund which will:
o invest in developing new renewable technologies such as wave power
o oversee a programme to help schools in the UK reduce their CO2 emissions

Gearóid Lane, Managing Director British Gas New Energy said,”Our new tariff responds to consumer demand for truly green energy solutions. It is essential that customers have confidence in green energy tariffs and that their credibility is not damaged by tariffs that claim to be green but in reality do not deliver any incremental environmental benefits. Green tariffs are moving from niche to mainstream products and we’re leading the industry by offering a tariff that will do more for the environment than any other product currently available.”

Under the government’s Renewables Obligation (RO), electricity suppliers in the UK are already required to produce an increasing percentage of their electricity through methods such as wind farms which, unlike traditional power plants, produce zero carbon emissions. For 2007/2008 this figure is set at 7.9%.

In a recent report, the National Consumer Council (NCC) raised concerns that some energy suppliers are packaging electricity which is produced under the RO scheme as “green”, yet it delivers no additional environmental benefits. The NCC called on energy suppliers to take steps beyond their legal requirements and offer green energy tariffs that provide genuine additional environmental benefits, in particular CO2 emissions reduction.

British Gas worked with Global Action Plan and The Climate Group’s “We’re in this Together” campaign to develop Zero Carbon which goes further than any other green tariff in meeting these requirements offering consumers the only zero carbon option on the market.

The tariff carries a premium of £84 per year, reflecting the higher cost of producing energy through lower carbon emission schemes.

Virginia Graham, Chair of Global Action Plan, said, “The British Gas Zero Carbon tariff delivers on all three of the essential requirements of a green tariff which are: additionality, transparency and verifiability. As such it is a very welcome new offering in the market. Consumers signing up to the tariff can be confident that they are getting 12 per cent more renewable energy than they would otherwise have got. The carbon emissions from their electricity and gas will also be offset with emissions reductions from projects accredited by the United Nations.”

Zero Carbon is one of the first initiatives launched through the ‘We’re in this Together’ campaign, which was launched in April 07 as an alliance of some of the UK’s biggest brands who are all working to help their customers reduce their impact on the climate.

Dr Steve Howard, CEO of The Climate Group and founder of ‘We’re in this Together’ said, “We’re committed to offering people ways to make a real impact on climate change through Together.com. We’ve worked with British Gas to ensure that Zero Carbon is a genuine step forward in delivering more environmental benefits than any other tariff currently available.”

British Gas’s second green energy tariff, Future Energy, offers an alternative green electricity tariff at a premium of just £20 per year. Customers signing up to this tariff will contribute to a green fund which will provide solar panels and other renewable energy technologies to UK schools. Money from the fund will also be invested in development of future renewable technologies and sources.

My sister was telling me of some sad news that happened up their way yesterday. A young man...someone who was only about 20 or so died in a grain elevator yesterday. He was inside the grain elevator and some how got caught underneath it all where he died. They rushed him to the hospital and got a hold of his family...but he was already gone. I just think this is so sad. So many young people dying these days.

I really enjoy the tv show, King of Queens. It's one of those shows that you can watch reruns over and over again. I like the humor and the story lines. Can you believe of the terrible tragedy that happened in Minneapolis recently? A bridge collapsing is not something you hear of often, and is such a sad thing to have happen...especially during rush hour. This is a bridge that I used to travel over almost every week, and it saddens me to think that innocent lives were taken on that very bridge. I hope that they figure out what went wrong and that they find all of the victims of this terrible ordeal. My thoughts and prayers go out to all who were involved. Right now I believe the death toll is at 7, but there are still many cars in the water and the fatalities are expected to rise. It's just such a sad ordeal.

My sister just redid one of the bathrooms in her house and is planning to redo the other in the near future. Do any of you know someone with Alzheimer's? If so, you know what sad disease it is. My grandma has Alzheimer's and it's really heartbreaking to see the effect it has had on her. When I was younger I remember her being this very sharp woman...she was a teacher and very, very smart! As time went on she became more and more forgetful until she no longer remembered any of us, not even her sons. Recently she had a bout with pneumonia which had her in the hospital. Thankfully she seems to be doing a little better, but it's still so sad to see her in this state. How sad would it be to be sick and not have any way to express yourself to those around you?! She's in a nursing home and they take really good care of her, but she has no idea that she's even there, and is not able to express herself in anyway...not even through facial expressions anymore. I hope that someday we can figure out what causes this awful disease and find a cure for it.

I recently learned that Rob Zombie wrote and directed the most recent Halloween the movie. I had no idea that he was even going to be directing and writing a movie, but when I found out that he did and that it will be released on August 31st, I was pretty excited. The reason why I was so excited is because the Halloween movies are probably my favorite scary movies ever! Even though they have been around for quite some time, I still love the story lines and the way that they grab my attention each and every time I watch them. I'm sure many of you have seen the Halloween movies as well. If you have, you may be looking forward to this Halloween movie as much as I am. I think that by having Rob Zombie write and direct this movie, it will bring a different angle to the movie. I think the movie will be much different than those in the past, possibly a little more intense and scary. I'm not positive, but this would be my guess knowing what I do about Rob Zombie. I can't believe how much blogging I've been able to do today!! Wow!! I'm really excited because Renee will be home on Tuesday!! That is not too long now! Less than one week. I can't believe that she'll actually be back...I've missed her so much and can't wait to see her. Hopefully she will come down and see me since I have to work all week.

What a long day...I'm so glad that I'm home and off from work. It's one of those days when i just want to come home, eat supper, and then relax the rest of the night. Then tomorrow we'll start all over again. At least tomorrow is Thursday...that means it's almost Friday!:)

Lately the humidity has really been getting to me. I notice that it doesn't matter whether it's rainy or not, the humidity is still terrible. I find myself spending time inside more than I do outside simply because of the humidity and mosquitoes. Oh well i guess, that's how it goes.

My sister and her husband closed on their house yesterday! They were SOOO excited! It went really smoothly and they were able to start moving boxes in last night. Not much else has been done, but Jenna was going to go over today and begin unloading some boxes while Scott's mom paints the bathroom. I'm glad everything went so well for them...can't wait to come see the house.

Well, it's crazy how time flies! It's already Wednesday, which means my weeks is half over already. I always like it when the weeks go by quickly like this...it gives me the chance to look forward to my weekends when I can relax and just enjoy doing nothing.
