Today
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

So far my day isn't going by too quickly, but hopefully it will speed up a little bit as the day gets started. I love my job, but also enjoy my weekends and am really looking forward to getting to go back to my parents house. I need to stop looking at the clock...I suppose that would help make things go by more quickly.:)

Extra Money
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Sometimes blogging can be an uneventful thing for many people. In fact, most people don't even blog every day. On the other hand, it can also be a very successful thing if you use your blog for making money as well as personal reasons. I have begun to do this with many of my blogs and can't believe the success I've had. If you haven't, please look into blogging for money! It's such a great way to make some extra cash.

PacketShaper
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Have you ever heard of Packetshapers before? If not, then you should check out their site and read more about it. A times using your bandwith with P2P or streaming-media can have a bad effect on the way it runs. That's where Packetshapers comes into play. If you or someone you know is complaining of slow applications, Packetshapers can be used to help solve the problem. With packetshaper you will find that there is flow, host analysis, and NetFlow capability. I thought this was really neat because it allows the user to have quality bandwith for things like VOIP and Citrix and limits it from some of the other recreational traffic. If you're interested in learning more, please check out their site today.

Relocation.com
Wednesday, July 25, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

My sister and her husband are currently in the moving process...and from I hear, moving can be quite a big job!! That's where Relocation.com comes in. They are a great site that I recently came across that makes it easy for you to find the resources you need when moving. I'm definitely going to share this site with my sister, because they move in just a few short days. This site is so great because they can help you with all kinds of things. If you're looking for an apartment, a home, a real estate agent, information about auto shipping, even international movers...the list goes on and on with the things they are able to help you with. I was just amazed at all they do and offer. I'm going to keep this site in mind when I move in the future. Moving can be such a stressful and overwhelming time and that's why Relocation.com wants to help. So, if you're needing information on real estate, mortgage, moving, apartments, insurance, jobs, home improvement, or something else in the area where you're moving....take a look at this site and see how they can help.

School Starting
Tuesday, July 24, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Not much longer now and renee will be back and spending time with me. Although I'm glad she was able to spend the summer in California because that is what she enjoys, I'm also going to be very happy to have her home. It will be great once school gets started for her in about a month too...because then she'll be living near by and I'll see her more.

DiscussWeb
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I have always been the type of person who is into computers and technology. I pretty much have taught myself everything I know, but at times it gets hard to do. One thing I've always wanted to do is set up my own technology website and an IT Community. Although I do know the basics of doing this, I don't know everything by any means and have many questions that I still have not gotten answered. For months I have been searching the web for a quality site that makes it easy for people with questions like I do to learn more about web development. I was excited when I came across the site, Discussweb, recently because it's exactly what I've been looking for. This site makes it possible for people to have discussions with technology experts. You can ask them all kinds of questions pertaining to a number of topics such as, web development, software programming, quality assurance, web hosting and SOO much more! If you're like me and looking for a great place to go for IT discussions, this is the place for you. So far I have only browsed through this site and already it's helped me just by reading some of the questions that others have had about different subjects. It's really a lot of fun for those who are into technology as much as I am. I liked to hear that this site is continually trying to improve itself so it better meets the needs of those who need help in this area. I also really appreciated the way that the site is laid out. It's really user-friendly and easy to navigate. It's layout makes it really easy for me to find exactly what I am looking for in a short amount of time. If you're serious about technology and need answers to your questions from people who know what they're talking about, then you should check this site out today.

King Of Queens
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I really enjoy the tv show, King of Queens. It's one of those shows that you can watch reruns over and over again. I like the humor and the story lines. I hope that sometime I find all the seasons on DVD. I would love to have that as a part of my collection.

Hockey
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I don't know about you, but over the years I've become a pretty big hockey fan. I've even been to a few games. The funny thing is, I'm not much into sports, but I think hockey is just great! As much time as I spend on the computer, I have come across many sites promoting different sports, but never one that I liked that dealt with hockey. Well, that is until now! Hockeysfuture.com is a great site that I recently came across, that offers all kinds of information on players, rankings, news, teams, nhl draft, and so much more! Basically, anything you're wanting to find about the NHL, you'll find it here. They even have a great part of the site dedicated to hockey forums. This gives people the opportunity to discuss the sport of hockey and all kinds of topics surrounding it. Take a look at their site...I think you'll find it as neat as I did.

Lots to do
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I find myself thinking about everything I need to get done today, but all I can do is sit here at the computer and hope for most posts to do so I can make some extra cash. It seems like every time I'm going to get started on something else, I have the opportunity to make more money online. I guess I'll just have to sit here a bit longer.

Multivend

I have always wanted to find a job where my hours are flexible and based on my preference of when I want to work. I've also always wanted financial freedom! They are the leading bulk candy vending machine manufacturers in the United States, and already have thousands and thousands of people working with them. The neat thing is, that you and I can be a part of this great business and have success like we've always dreamed. Does this sound like something you'd be interested in looking into and doing? If so, take a look at their site and learn more.

Snacks
Monday, July 23, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I hate it when i get hungry for a snack and just don't know what to eat. It seems like that always happens around this time of day and it's rather annoying. Sometimes I feel like something sweet and sometimes I don't. I really need to get some groceries...that would make this decision a lot easier for me.

Muscle Milk
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I'm sure many of you have tried the different drinks and things out there to help increase your muscle mass and also help to burn fat more efficiently when you work out. There are so many different nutritional and fitness supplements...it takes a while to find one that you like and one that's right for you. There is a site with useful information on different supplements, including muscle milk, Myoplex, etc. Check it out if you're interested in trying one for yourself.

I love technology
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I really like the fact that I have a camera on my phone and my computer. I really don't have a need for an actual camera other than those. When i go somewhere I either take pics with my phone, or who ever I'm with takes them with their camera. Technology is just wonderful!

Cameras
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

My sister was just telling me how she and her husband would really like a different camera before the baby comes in October. They like the one they have, but would like one of a little better quality. I have been looking around online for her, and found the Canon Powershot, as well as other great cameras. I'm going to let her know of the site that I found where she can find the perfect camera at a great price.

Drug Rehab
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

There are so many drug rehabilitation programs out there...it makes it a bit overwhelming to find one that's right for you. That's why it's important that you check into all the drug rehab programs out there and see what they have to offer. One that I recommend you check out in your search for a prescription drug addiction, alcohol addiction, or something else, is Cliffside Malibu. They have a great center, and it's their desire to help you in whatever area you are needing help. Please check them out today and see what you think.

headaches
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I don't get headaches often, but when i do, like today...I'm just miserable. Usually I wake up with these headaches on the days i get them and it just puts a damper on the whole day. Tylenol doesn't seem to help either. The only thing that really helps is crawling into bed and taking a nice nap.

BP Factory
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I'm sure by now, many of you have probably heard the press about the BP Whiting Refinery. The important thing to note, in my opinion, when it comes to news like this, is that there is usually two sides to a story...those of which may not have exactly the same information to present. What story am I referring to you might be asking? The Chicago Tribune recently released information regarding BP and the impact that they are having on the environment. BP feels that they were misrepresented in this article, because they are a committed organization that tries to minimize the effect that their actions have on the environment. In fact, according to the BP Whiting Fact Sheet, BP not only is only dumping completely treated water into Lake Michigan, with no sludge in it, but the water discharge is well within legal limits. They are continually trying to improve the way they do things to make sure that the environment is as safe as possible, and even work officials to make sure that their plans do just that. Before you make any opinions about this story, please read more on this site. It's important to be informed before you make a decision on which side you're going to back. This is a paid post.

Blogging
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

It seems that blogging can take up most of my day if I let it. I sit down and plan on doing only a couple of posts, and by the time I look at the clock, I've spent hours on this stupid computer. I really need to limit myself, as I think this is why I get neck and shoulder aches so often.

Vendstar
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Have you ever wondered if there was a job out there that could give you financial stability and the flexibility to choose your own hours and schedule? I'm sure you're thinking, "sure, but there's no such thing!". If that's what you're thinking, then you're wrong. There is a job out there that will give you financial freedom, and it's with Vendstar. Vendstar is the leading bulk candy vending machine manufacturers in the United States. You can be apart of vendstar and begin the job you've always dreamed. You will have the opportunity to make up to 80% profit and have that flexibility with schedule that you've been looking for. I found this information to be very encouraging, and I think I may look into this business as well. Take a look at their site and see what you think.

Wow...I can hardly keep up. Finally PPP has put on some posts that people with lower PR's can take. The only problem is that there are so many people wanting these posts that they turn gray before we can even take them. I've been lucky to grab two or three...but would like to grab a whole lot more if I can. We'll see..

Supper
Wednesday, July 18, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

My sister told me that her and scott were having a yummy "breakfast" supper tonight. Scott likes to make chocolate chip pancakes, eggs and bacon once in a while and that's what they're having for supper. I actually think that sounds pretty good and might have that myself. They're making their pancakes from scratch though...I don't think I'll do that though?!?

I actually enjoy getting to sleep in, watch television and work on the computer. How about you, what do you like to do on the weekends that you have off?

Gloomy Weather
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

The weather is still very gloomy out there. I can't believe how dark it has been the past few days. It's really good sleeping weather...but not much fun to be out and about in. Hopefully it gets to being a little more sunny and warm out soon. I prefer that kind of weather much more.

Fitness Dating
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

With the busyness of life...many people turn to online dating to find someone they are interested in dating. I've known people to do this, and it seems to be a great thing that worked for them. It's a great way to get to know a number of people on a friendly basis first. There are so many dating sites out there to choose from also...so finding one that's right for you should not be hard at all. I particularly like the Fitness dates site that I came across not that long ago. It helps fit singles find other fit singles. They have thousands of profiles and fitness personals to look at, along with pictures too. It's really easy to join and you have nothing to lose because it's free. Interested in Fitness Dating? Water
Tuesday, July 17, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Lately it's been really humid and warm outside. Because the weather has been like this, I find myself drinking lots more water. I guess that's good for me though. I would rather be drinking that than way more pop. Water is just the best thing to quench your thirst when it's like this outside.

Are you interested in becoming a heavy equipment operator or in Crane Operator Training? If so, then the NAHETS has give some guidelines as to what you can look for in a good heavy equipment training school. PPP
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

PPP has really been slow lately. Normally I am used to getting quite a few opportunities to blog for them a day...but this month is just very slow. I have hardly done any work for them and am not sure if it's going to pick up more or not. I sure hope so, because I absolutely love blogging for them. We'll see I guess.

Lunch time again
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Sometimes when I get home from work I look in my cupboards and really don't know what to eat?!? It's not that I don't have food...because I try and get groceries every couple of weeks...it's just that I never know what I feel like making or eating. I'm one of those people who is quite tired when I get home from work...and enjoys relaxing, not working in the kitchen. I'm going to have to figure out some quicker things to make at night..because this is getting old not knowing what to eat every night.

Dry weather
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

It's another gorgeous day out there. Although, I must say...some rain would be nice. I look around town and it seems that the grass is looking very dry and in some places even dead. I also notice that my throat seems much more dry. I am ready for a little rain and moisture...not a lot, just enough to help the grass and this dry weather.

Lots of fun
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

It sounds like my mom had a great time visiting her sister over the weekend. They did lots of shopping and found some really neat stuff. Seeing how my brother and his wife, and my sister and her husband are both expecting their first babies this fall...my mom had a blast shopping for baby things and just browsing at all there is out there. She had a lot of fun and I'm glad.

Earwigs
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Last night I was cleaning the drainer in my sink...putting away dishes and such and I dropped one of the dishes. To my surprise there were 5 or 6 of those earwig bugs that crawled out of the bowl that I dropped. I know they like water...and that's where I've been finding them lately...in the kitchen and the bathroom. This was disgusting though. They were just hiding in the dishes in the drainer. So clearly I had to rewash them all because I was so grossed out by the whole thing. I'm just sick of living around these bugs.

Another Favorite Show
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Another one of my favorite television shows to watch at night is, Unique whips. Unique Whips is about a car shop, Unique Autosports and all they do to design and redo vehicles that people bring into them. I just think it's fascinating to see how they redo cars and make them seem like completely different ones when they leave. I especially enjoy the electronics and things that they put in the cars...that's so sweet!

OCC

I really don't watch a whole of tv, but at night when I'm winding down I really enjoy the show Orange County Choppers. I love cars and motorcycles...basically anything like that. So being able to watch them get designed and put together is quite exciting to me. I even enjoy watching the reruns that I've already seen...it's just so fascinating. Your Best Life Now
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Have you ever read the book, "Your Best Life Now" by Joel Osteen? If you haven't, I strongly urge you to do so!! It's a great book, encouraging us to live a life that's more positive. The things we say and think affect our daily lives...I have seen and learned that first hand. The more positive things that come out of our mouths, the more positive and enjoyable our lives will be. I've seen people with negative attitudes and outlooks on life, and to be honest...overall they just don't seem to be the happiest people. In fact, even being around these people can start to make a person feel more negative inside and that's not good. Read this book and share with others you know as well.

Christian Music
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I don't listen to a lot of music, but when I do, Christian music is it!! The reason I love Christian music so much is because it's so uplifting. It seems that there is always a song that I can listen to that relates to something I'm going through...and totally just lifts me up. Christian music also gives me the opportunity to worship wherever I am...at work, at school, at home, or even in the car.

Golfing
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

As I've mentioned in some of my other posts, Golf has never been a sport I played much until recently. My dad and brother-in-law love the sport...and kind of got me involved and interested as well. Now I can't wait to get back out there and do some more golfing...maybe the weekend I go back to help Jenna and Scott move?!?:)

Games
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Everyone has a favorite game...what's yours? Some of us prefer games that we play on a machine, like the computer or playstation...while others of us prefer the timeless board games. My favorite would probably have to be Monopoly. My girlfriend and I never get tired of playing monopoly because every game is different. The only thing with Monopoly is that you need a long period of time to play it...even with two people.

They regularly release podcasts, which give users the opportunity to hear about some of the experiences that faculty members and students have at Capella University. I wish that all college websites offered this. College is such a big decision and it would be nice to hear more first hand experiences from the people who already attend there or work there.

The most recent podcast is a conversation with student, Carla Chladek. She talks about her work as a Program Manager for the Joint Staff Training Program at the Pentagon!! It really is quite interesting. Check it out today on their site.

I'm excited, through one of the blogging companies that I work for...I have the opportunity to get a pacifier to do a review on. The reason I think this would be so cool is because my sister was just telling me how cool it would be to get this opportunity for herself because she has a baby coming in October. I told her if I get it that she can have it...so she's pretty excited!!

Cloudy
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I never really ended up raining like I thought it might last night...and today it really doesn't look like it will either! It's a little cloudy, and the temps are a little cooler, but I think it's just gonna be one of those kind of days. That's ok though...I don't think we need a ton of rain around here.

Capella University
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Many of you may have heard of Capella University before, but some of you may have not. If you haven't, it's an online university with thousands of students who are pursuing their dream of a higher education. They offer many different programs and may have one that you're interested in!? Tammy Alexander is actually a student there, pursuing her dream of getting her master's degree in education with an emphasis on enrollment management at Capella. A web release recently stated that she received a special award, the 2006 FBI Director's Community Leadership Award. I thought that was pretty amazing and I'm sure she is very honored to have received it. Hearing other people's success stories, like Tammy's, makes me want to pursue my master's at some point too. It would be a great honor to be recognized as a great leader, don't you think!? Learn more on their site today.

Keep it up!

I am really excited because PayPerPost has been putting on more posts today for us to take. THey are rather hard to grab because everyone else is wanting posts from them too..but I've been lucky enough to grab a couple. Hopefully they'll keep them coming. :)

Maternity Clothes
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Now that my sister and sister in law are pregnant they've told me how hard it is to find things to wear. It's nothing like before, because then they could just pick out anything and knew it would fit. Now it's more difficult because each week their bellys grow bigger and it is harder to find things that fit. My sister told me that sometimes it's really hard because she'll by something and the next month it barely fits. She finds herself mainly wearing larger tshirts at home. They're more comfortable she said.

Sara Orem
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I don't know about you, but I'm always up for learning something new....especially when it comes to bettering a business or organization in a positive way. Seeing how that's the type of person I am, I was very intrigued by Sara Orem's, a faculty member at Capella University, new book, Appreciative Coaching: A Positive Process for Change. What is a Appreciative Coaching you ask? Well, it's basically the idea that we can help organizations to flourish by focusing on the strengths and positives that employees bring to our company. When you think about it, this really makes sense. If you're lifting someone up, pointing out their strengths, this will help to bring about positive change in your business. So, if you're a coach, a manager, or an executive...I strongly urge you get this book and use it.

Twins
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Do any of you have twins in the family?? My family is full of them. For those of you who aren't familiar with twins and their occurrence in families....fraternal twins on the mothers side tend to past down through the generations (usually every other generation). As I said, my mom's side has lots of twins running through it. My had a grandmother who was a twin, my mom is a twin and my mom had twins (my sister and brother). I think this is pretty cool. Now, since my brother is male and twins can only be determined by the female, he is less likely to have twins. If he does it would be by chance. My sister on the other hand has a much great chance of having twins...as it runs so strongly in our family. They are sure that they're only having one baby this time...but everyone keeps telling her that she'll probably have twins somewhere down the line. She thinks that would be really cool.:)

October
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I was just thinking the other day about how big of a month October will be. It's my sister and brother's birthday that month, my sister-in-laws birthday that month...as well as the month when my brother and his wife, and my sister and her husband are expecting their first children. So that's five birthday in the month of October. I thought that was pretty cool.

Podcasts
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I really can't say enough about the online university, Capella University. They are an accredited University, now serving over 19000 students. Isn't that outstanding!?! On their site, they frequently release podcasts to voice the experience of earning an online degree from current faculty, staff and students. The latest one released was about a master's degree student, Carla Chladek. She discusses her work as a Program Manager for the Joint Staff Training Program at the Pentagon. I really enjoy these podcasts, because it gives others the opportunity to hear experiences first hand. They aren't very long, so if you have time, check them out on their site.

Dreams
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Do any of you have really odd dreams and try to figure out why you had them or what they mean?? Lately I've been dreaming a lot more vividly and...although I can't remember much of them when I wake up...I remember enough to think about why I would be dreaming about that and what is the meaning of dreams. I've always had an interest in psychology...and dreams fascinate me. I think it would be fun sometime to learn more about dreams and how to figure out their meaning.

Wit Rally
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I was talking with my mom yesterday and she told me how the Wit Rally is in town already. Where I'm from, Winnebago is the largest industry they have there...and people from all over the country bring in their Winndebagos and stay for weeks enjoying our town and what we have to offer. It's nice having them there...but it really makes for a lot of traffic and busy businesses.

Tammy Alexander
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I'm sure all of us have had a role model throughout our lives. Someone that I look up to lately is Tammy Alexander. I read about all she has accomplished and hopes to do, and it makes me want to be that kind of leader as well. I actually read a lot about her in a web release from Capella University. Alexander is not only a master's degree student there, but does many other things to demonstrate leadership as well. That's why she was so deserving of the award that she was given just recently, the 2006 FBI Director’s Community Leadership Award. Just for a little bit of background, Tammy is the VP on the board of advisors for the Infragard East Tennessee Alliance. This is basically a program that wants to improve the sharing of information between private industry and government. She also is the director for information assurance and cybersecurity training at Fountainhead College in Tennessee. She has a lot of responsibility there as well. As you can see, she is quite the role model and someone we should all want to model in terms of leadership and dedication.

Dressy Clothes
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

When I was in college I wasn't really the type to dress up much. I mean I'd wear jeans and t-shirt...nothing sloppy, just not dressy. As my girlfriend and I got more serious...she began to buy me some really nice clothes from the clothing stores she worked at in the mall. Slowly I began to wear more button up shirts and jackets. It's good that she slowly got me into wearing clothes like that, because now I work for John Deere and have to be quite dressed up everyday. I am supposed to wear dress pants and dress shirts which is a huge change for me. I'm kind of liking it though...dressing up is fun!

Church
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I belong to a great church here where I live. It used to be a First Baptist Church, but has rebuilt and gone more non-denominational. I like it a lot better...as the worship and messages are much better. I mean I liked the old one...but this one feels more inviting to all kinds of people...not just those who consider themselves to attend a Baptist Church. I think this was a great thing for the church to do...as they are located in a college town and want to reach all college students no matter what their church background. I think it's great and hope that they keep up the good work. You can really feel God's presence there and see what He's doing in the lives of others...it's Awesome!!

Appreciative Coaching
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Sara Orem is a faculty member at the accredited online Capella University. She has also co-authored a book, Appreciative Coaching: A Positive Process for Change. Ever heard of it? If not, you should definitely look into it. In Capella's web release, they help one realize that this book is about helping bring change to organizations and companies through the right kind of coaching. Instead of focusing on the negatives of the employees, Orem states that "...Appreciative Coaching guides the reader through four stages – Discovery, Dream, Design and Destiny – that inspire them to an appreciative and empowering view of themselves and their future." Therefore, it's important to focus on the positive aspects of your employees to help encourage change in your organization. This book is especially useful for those who work one on one with people, like managers and coaches. Sound like a book you could use? Check it out today.

Frustrating
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

The neighbor lady hasn't really gotten any better. As I was just beginning to post again, so was already letting me know that it's too early to walk around in my own apartment. It's hard for me because I'm the type of person who stays up late...therefore I walk around my apartment and the floor creeks. I also have a job, so I am up early and walking around, taking a shower, etc. I hope this lets up soon...it is rather frustrating I must admit.

Neighbors
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

As I've mentioned before, I am now living in a pretty good sized apartment and absolutely love it! The one thing that is kind of difficult to deal with though, is my neighbor who lives in the apartment right below mine. She is an older lady and seems rather nice...but after a certain time at night she gets upset if there's any noise!! This makes it difficult for me because I don't mean loud noises, but even creeking on the floor or hanging clothes in the closet. It got to the point where I was tired of her hitting her hand on the ceiling...that I talked with the landlord. She was very nice and apologized that I had to deal with that.

The Countdown Begins
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Well the countdown has begun....my girlfriend comes back on the 6th!! I know it sounds like a ways off...but when someone's been gone all summer...a few weeks is nothing! I'm SO looking forward to seeing her and hearing all about her summer in California. It was nice that she could go visit her friends and family out there...but I sure miss her. It will be nice to have her home.

Hmmmm...
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

It's not even 10 yet, but my stomach is growling and I'm wondering what I should have for lunch today!! I need to make a decision because I don't get a long break and I need to throw something together rather quickly. I get tired of eating out all the time...so I'm thinking it would be nice to go home and have something yummy. I may have to think on this some more though, because I simply have no idea what I"m in the mood for.

Capella University

Another recent web release from Capella University read: "Capella University master's degree student receives FBI Director's Community Leadership Award" Who is this deserving young person you ask...well, it's Tammy Alexander. Tammy is not only a student at Capella University, she is also the director for information assurance and cybersecurity training at Fountainhead College of Technology in Tennessee as well as serving on the board of advisors for the Infragard East Tennessee Alliance. She sounds like a very busy woman...but is driven and very deserving of this award that she got. Congratulations Tammy!!

John Deere
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

So, I guess golf is just on my mind lately. It seems that ever since I went golfing with my dad and brother-in-law around the 4th of July...I just have an itch to get back out there and do some more golfing. Last night I thought it was pretty neat to see the John Deere golf tournament on television. I found this to be interesting because not only do I work for John Deere, but live in Iowa where some of the golfers are from. I watched quite a bit of it, and enjoyed seeing the John Deere logo around the course.

Dad's Fun Weekend
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

While my mom is away with her twin sister, my dad is interested in doing a little bit of golfing. As I've mentioned in previous posts, he is an avid golfer...and is really quite good. He enjoys doing it whenever he gets the opportunity. This weekend he has the chance to work at a golf tournament in the town where he lives...and in return for working there he gets a free round of golf!! He's very happy about that...wish I could go back and golf too.

Capella University

Have you ever considered going back to school to get your master's degree? I know I have. I have said that since the minute I graduated from college. The only thing is, sometimes when you're working so much, it difficult to imagine that you'd actually have the time to go back to school. If you're like me and have this thought running through your head, you should learn more about Capella University. They are an accredited online university that was founded in 1993. They serve many students, some of whom are working on their Master's Degree, like Tammy Alexander. She is working to get her degree in education with an emphasis on enrollment management. She also was awarded a very special ward, the 2006 FBI Director's Community Leadership Award. She felt very honored to receive the award, as she noted that “There are a lot of people who are deserving of this award.." She works very hard in and out of school and it sounds like she was very deserving of this award as well.

Mom's Fun Weekend
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Sounds like my mom has fun plans for the weekend. She and her twin sister try to get together one weekend a year down at her place so they can do some shopping. It used to be that this was the time to do some back-to-school shopping...but now it's more just a day for fun shopping. I think it's great that they find time to do this each year. Mom really looks forward to it.

Baby Registry
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

So my sister and her husband have a hard time finding weekends that they can make plans to do something just them. It seems that there is always something going on...and finding time to do the things around the house or even do their baby registry is very difficult. They have this weekend off together, so they're going to plan on putting together a baby registry. My sister said that she knows the baby registry is much different than putting together a wedding registry because there's just not as much that you need...but she still would like to put one together for the couple of showers that she will be having. I think it's a great idea and may even utilize it when the time comes to buy them a gift. That is...if I don't buy them something John Deere for the baby.:)

Appreciative Coaching
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Capella University recently released a web release stating that "Capella University Faculty Member Co-Authors New Book on Appreciative Coaching". Without any hesitance at all, I immediately wanted to learn more about this Appreciate Coaching idea. It was something that I hadn't heard of before, but was very interested to find out what it was. Basically, her new book: Appreciative Coaching: A Positive Process for Change is about the way that we should go about implementing change in the work place or organization in which we're a part of. Some people might think that's it's important to get rid of those who are considered to be weak...but Sara Orem, the co author of this book, helps us realize that it's focusing on the strengths that those people bring to the company that's important. If you're interested in learning more, check out Capella University for more information.

Make Money
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I make a majority of my income from my blog and I want to help all of you to do the same (if that interests you of course.) Thousands of new blogs are started every day on the web. However, a very high percentage of those blogs never amount to anything. Only a small portion of blogs actually earn a respectable income. There is nothing wrong with simply blogging because you have a topic of interest; but wouldn't it be nice to pay your bills while you blog about what interests you?

Let me start by adding on to my previous post, AdSense Alternatives. Yes, these are a few of the best alternatives on the web to AdSense, but there are many other ways to generate cash flow from your blog.

If you are just starting out in the wonderful world of blogging, you may not know what AdSense is.... AdSense is a program run by Google. It is a program where you can place relative ads on your site that you will be paid-per-click for. AdSense is probably the most widely used program on the web, however, when you are just starting out on your website and/or blog, or if you have a wide variety of topics that you cover, Google will typically reject you from the AdSense program. Thus, you may want to consider an alternative.

eMiniMalls and Affiliate sales programs are always good to get into, although I find that they are typically a waste of blog-space due to the fact that you just don't make enough sales to make it worth doing.

First off, let me tell you that PayPerPost is one of the absolute best ways to start generating cash from your blog! I have been a blogger for PayPerPost since September of 2006 and I have made thousands from them. Pretty much any blog can be approved by them just so long as you meet their very minimal requirements. First, you must have a blog that is at least 90 days old with at least 20 posts on it. Secondly, you must not have 'nofollow' tags in your source code. (If you don't know what 'nofollow' tags are, than you probably don't have them.) The third requirement is that your blog must be indexed by Google. The way to do this for free is to add your site to their database. Then you are going to want to add it to the Google Blogsearch.

After you are approved, you can visit the 'Opportunities' page and choose up to three per day to simply post about on your blog and then submit and get paid. This is a method of controversy amongst probloggers, but I personally strongly suggest it if you want to make a few hundred extra dollars per month.

There are a few other programs on the web that are similar to PayPerPost, such as Blogsvertise and BlogFeast.

Next, as mentioned above, publishing pay-per-click ads on your site/blog is definitely the easiest way to make profit from your blog. Simply sign up for any of the programs mentioned in our Adsense Alternatives section and insert the ad-code on blog. As you can see, I have ads placed in several areas of this blog that I am paid for every single time someone clicks on one. I am currently publishing AdBrite ads, Adgenta ads, and Clicksor ads on this blog and I am displaying Bidvertiser ads on my other blog. You can get information about all of these companies, HERE.

Clicksor is very cool because they have the most attractive graphical banner ads that I have found thus far. I feel that the graphic ads are more appealing to the visitors eye.

They are all quite similar, although I have found that AdBrite seems to have the highest paying ads. AdGenta is a bit different however. Their ads are actually placed right in your posts and you can select the individual keywords that best describe each individual post. I say that the publishing of ads is the easiest way to make money because after you place the ads, they change automatically and you do nothing further other than make money.

Capella University
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I have heard many great things about the students and faculty at Capella University. They seem to be doing so many wonderful thing and deservingly getting recognition not only through awards, but also through web releases from Capella University. For instance, Sara Orem is a faculty member at Capella University. She also helped to co-author a new book, Appreciative Coaching: A Positive Process for Change. Wondering what this book could be about? So was I, and that's why I did my best to learn more about it. From what I understand, this new book is focusing on the strengths of those we work around and with. It's especially useful for coaches of managers, executives...basically those who are doing one-on-one work with people in their organizations. This idea of Appreciative Coaching is put into place to help create change in their companies by focusing on the positive of those working around them. Being a strong advocate of positiveness, I think this is a great idea and I look forward to learning more about it.

I love my Job
Thursday, July 12, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I've only been working at John Deere for almost a month now and let me tell you it's a blast. My boss gives me complete freedom to do what I want, as long as my work gets done. I feel a great deal of satisfaction when I have completed my orders for the prototype engines that I work on. What a great job.

Washing My Car
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I have found that I really took for granted how easy and cheap it was to wash my car at home. See down here in Cedar Falls there aren't very many options for me. There's only the car wash. So anytime I want to was my car not only do I have to drive there but I also have to pay for it, and as clean as I like to keep my car it's a big pain.

Capella University
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Founded in 1993, Capella University is known to be a great online university. They are fully accredited and offer so many options for their students. They actually have more than 17,000 students who study there right now, one of whom is Tammy Alexander. She is a student working on getting her master's degree in education with an emphasis on enrollment management. From what I've read, Tammy is a hardworking student, in school and outside of school. She works for Fountainhead College in Tenn. as well as serving on the board of advisors for the Infragard East Tennessee Alliance. Pretty impressive in my eyes. She even got an honorable award recently, the 2006 FBI Director’s Community Leadership Award. You can learn more about Tammy and Capella University on their site.

My '02 Eclipse
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

After not having my car for over a month, I am extremely happy to have it back and fixed. I was having a problem with my transmission leaking fluid, so I had it looked at. Man, did that cost me a pretty penny. Not only were they able to find the problem but having a foreign car can be very expensive. I hope my car is good for awhile.

Work is Picking Up
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Lately work has been picking up. We have been designing many different types of prototype engines. With the things that I saw while down in Mexico, I have been able to use them to my advantage when organizing and scheduling the parts we'll need on these jobs. I have found that I am a very organized person, and I am putting this skill to good use in this job.

Hazards on the road
Wednesday, July 11, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Here in the midwest it seems that there are many hazards on the road that make it difficult to see when driving. In the winter time it's mounds of snow that make it hard to see when turning corners. In the summer time it's not snow of course, but corn!! That's right, corn! We have lots of fields around here...so this time of year when it's getting to be quite tall it can be very hard to see. It's important that we take our time and look both ways before driving across an intersection or turning.

Much Needed Rain
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

The weatherman said the storms would be rolling in tonight...so I guess this cool weather will continue. Much of Iowa and Minnesota are needing the rain....so these storms are probably going to be welcomed nicely. I don't think they're supposed to last too long...or bring us much wind or hail so that's good. It'll be perfect weather for sleeping tonight.

Young Dreams
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Have you ever wanted to do something really fun before, but just didn't feel adventurous enough. As children we all probably had dreams like this, and many of us probably still do. One thing that I always thought would be fun when I was little would be to hold onto a bunch of balloons and have them carry me across the sky so I could enjoy the state below me. One man actually got to do this today...having lots of balloons carry him across Oregon so he could see the beautiful creation below. Doesn't that sound like fun??

Mosquitoes are a pain!
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Have any of you noticed that the mosquitoes are worse this year?? I sure have...and it really has started to become a pain. I feel like I can't even go out on my patio with out fighting off the mosquitoes. My parents even said that the 4th of July fireworks weren't as enjoyable because of the mosquitoes. I was happy to hear on the news tonight that my town is getting ready to spray from the air and the ground tonight at dusk. I'm hoping this helps out with the mosquito problem. We'll see I guess.

Neck Pain
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I don't know about all of you out there who sit in an office all day...but sitting in front of a computer 8 hours a day is quite straining...especially on my back and neck muscles. Lately my neck has been really tender and just stiff and it's become pretty uncomfortable. I'm hoping that I can correct the way I'm sitting so I won't have to go to a chiropractor for this...but we'll just have to see.

What to eat?!

Belly Button Rings
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I don't know about you, but I have seen many young women and girls who have belly button rings. In fact, my sister and sister-in-law both had belly button rings before they got pregnant and had to take them out. My sister got hers about 10 years ago..when it was just coming to be the thing to do for young girls. She never really showed it much, but still liked having it. One thing that she always enjoyed doing was shopping for cute belly rings. Her husband would even find rings for her and surprise her just because. Do you have your belly button pierced? If so, then you should check out Pierce This 2. They have many higher end belly button rings that my sister would love!! They make their jewelry with better material than most rings found out there these days. On this site you can actually customize gold belly rings!! How cool is that?? You can pick the color and length that you would like. Check them out today and see what you think. I'm definitely going to share this site with my sister in case she considers getting her belly pierced again someday.

Healthy Living
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Whenever I get the chance to sit down and watch television after work, I usually enjoy watching Dr. Phil. sometimes I don't catch it all...but usually I can catch most of it and get a good idea of what's going on. Today I'm watching it and there's some pretty interesting situations on her about health. For instance, one woman really wants a tummy tuck after having four children and having the left over skin from pregnancy that will not go away. A professional is there trying to convince her husband that this is something necessary that she needs to do for her health.

Moving
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I recently moved about a month ago and I know how much work it can be!! Even just moving across town can be quite the ordeal!! It's especially difficult if you have a lot of big furniture and lots and lots of boxes. My sister and her husband are moving in about 20 days and they have quite a bit more than even I did to move. They are only moving across town too...but they know that it will be pretty stressful with everything that they have to move.

I think the reason I like Orlando most, is because they have so many attractions that both adults and children can enjoy. When I was a child, the Olrando trip was definitely the most memorable!! We were able to go to Disney World and all the them parks around. Now they even have dinner shows and attractions, which would be something I'd enjoy now as an adult more. Are you thinking of vacationing in Orland anytime soon? If so, or the next time you plan on going, check out OrlandoFunTickets.com. They make it easy to get tickets to your favorite attractions at the lowest prices guaranteed. So, no matter if you're looking for cheap Universal Studios Tickets, or something else...this site should definitely be your first priority.

Baby Movements
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

My sister and her husband are expecting their first baby in October. I'm really excited to be an uncle of two (my brother and his wife are also expecting in October).:) My sister lives a little bit closer, so I am able to keep up to date on what's going on with her and her pregnancy. It sounds like everything is going great. She's starting to pop out pretty good now...and says she is feeling the baby move quite frequently. Her husband Scott even feels the baby move more and more each day, and they actually watch it move sometimes at night when the baby is much more active. I thought that was pretty cool.

Extra Cash Flow
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

My brother recently became quite interested in blogging, especially blogging for money!! Since I've been doing it for quite some time...he came to me for some help on getting started. Now he has a great blog and it sounds like his "blogging for money" thing is really going great!! That's wonderful for him...especially since he and his wife are expecting their first baby in October. Extra money is really nice to have when you have kids! Anyways...I'm glad it's going well for him and I hope that blogging continues to be a great extra cash flow for him.

Vacation in Orlando
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I don't know about you, but Orlando is one of my all time favorite places to vacation. I've been there many times...as a child and as an adult...and it's always fun!! There is just so much to do there...with family and friends. It's always fun to go there...no matter if it's Christmas time, Spring Break, or a summer vacation!! Orlando is the place to be year round! Although many people think of Disney as being the main attraction there in Orlando...there really is so much more to do. There's 52 theme parks, beaches, beautiful resorts, and so much more. You should definitely consider making a trip to Florida and stay in vacation villas in Orlando. So, whether you're looking to plan a trip for you and your loved one...or the entire family...consider Orlando as your next destination.

Cancer
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Sadly, it seems that cancer has become quite common among our world today. It used to be that the big "C" word wasn't hardly even used...and now it's everywhere!! Had you heard that many are finding that the cancer genes that many people have may actually be coming from the father instead of the mother. This was news to me...as I had always heard it the other way around. I really hope with time and advanced technology that we figure some of these cancers out. It's just so sad how many lives it takes each day!!

Credit Cards
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Ever since I began college, it seems that credit card companies will not leave me alone. I get junk in the mail constantly from all kinds of companies trying to get me to use their credit card. I don't get it?!? My mom said that when she was my age...it was next to impossible for people to get credit cards. It's no wonder that people fall behind on their credit cards and get in serious debt and trouble!! It's so easy to do if you're not careful! The smartest thing to do when it comes to a credit card is only use what you know you can come up with during that month. In other words...don't spend the money if you can't pay it off at the end of the month. This a rule of thumb that I've always used and it's worked so far. Otherwise using credit cards can get way out of control.

Miami Heat Tickets
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I don't know about you, but I have a brother who is a huge sports nut!! It doesn't matter if it's the NFL, MLB, NBA or something else...he's always involved in watching a game dealing with one or the other. In fact, he not only watches games on television...but he also really enjoys going to games as well. The only problem with that is that tickets for games like these can be very hard to come by. Even though this can be quite frustrating...don't give up. Premium Seats USA has tried to make it easier for all of you sports fans out there to get great tickets. They do so by offering a really large selection of first-class tickets. This isn't just for sports either...you can find tickets to concerts and theater events as well! The neat thing is, you can find tickets nationwide. So no matter if you're looking for Miami Heat Tickets, or something else...this is the place to go.

Dad's Birthday
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

My dad's birthday is coming up in a little under a week now and I have a few ideas in mind of what to get him...but can't really narrow it down to one. He has so many fun hobbies and interests that finding him a birthday gift is really quite easy. I guess it's just deciding which thing he'd enjoy the most. I'll have to think on it, and maybe run it by my sister and see what she thinks. We'll have to see I guess.:)

Very Nice Weather
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

This weather is sure a nice change from what it's been like the past week or so. The temps were rising close to 100 degrees outside...but the past couple of days have been extremely pleasant. I haven't even really had to run my air at all. I haven't even had to open up the windows. The temperature in my place has pretty much stayed right around 73 which is a comfortable temperature for someone like me who gets hot easily. This is the type of summer weather I enjoy...not too hot...and not too cold!!

Hallandale Beach
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

If you're looking for a great condo, check out Hallandale Beach. The Beach Club there offers many luxury condos in a great location!! In fact, the Beach club is only minutes from the Diplomat Resort, and is on oceanfront property!! How cool is that?? You can't get much better than that if you ask me! There are also many great shopping places and nightlife activities around to enjoy as well. There are three different types of condos to choose from...so finding one that suits you best will not be a problem! If you're looking for a great condo...I strongly suggest you check this site and The Beach Club in Hallandale Beach out today. Just take a look and you'll see what all the fuss is about!! It's absolutely beautiful!

Blogging
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Lately I've really been impressed with Blogitive!! They are a great company that makes it easy for bloggers to make money. Blogitive isn't just another "get paid to blog" company though...they are unique and do a very good job. Sometimes with other companies I find it very difficult to get posts to do. With Blogitive it seems that there is a steady amount of work to do which I really like. Another great feature that Blogitive offers is that you can reserve a post for 48 hours. This makes it easy to get things done that you need, while still being able to blog for this great company.

Always Tomorrow
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Have you ever had one of those days where the time just flies!!?? Well today is one of those days for me. Whenever I have a long list of things to do...it just makes my day fly. I guess I don't have the time to sit around and watch the clock...instead I'm busy, busy, busy!! The only thing I don't like about these days is that it never seems that I get all my work done that I need to. Oh well...I guess there's always tomorrow!!

Atlanta Condos
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Are you somebody who's looking to buy or sell a condo? If so, then you definitely should check out the CondoCompany.com. They have a CondoList on their site which was recently launched. Basically the CondoList makes it easy for people to list condos that they are wanting to sell. The reason this is such a great idea is because it makes it easy for those people searching for Atlanta condos to find the information they're looking for. I also liked the "building specialist" feature. This is basically a reator that has a specialization in a certain condo building. They actually have to meet strict requirements to be a specialist which I think is great. Check them out today and see what you think...you have nothing to lose!!

Electric Venom
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I love doing the linkback thing...it's the easiest way to get traffic to your site, to raise your PR, and best of all...to promote other great blogs out there!! I personally like to browse the web and find all kinds interesting sites out there. I enjoy linking to the ones that I find unique and interesting. I recently came across one of these today...Electric Venom. The Venomous Kate is a very interesting site, and well respected as well. How would like TWO free linkbacks from her? If you do, then participate in Bite Me!! Learn more on her site today.

NASCAR
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I wake up every morning hoping that the sad stories that we hear on the news will end. It just seems that most days there is something sad going on in our world. Yesterday something very sad happened to two of Nascar's own people. A small plane crashed into two homes in Florida. Unfortunately 5 people were killed in this terrible incident. Sadly, one of these people was even a child.:( The two people who lost their lives in this devastating crash were Dr. Bruce Kennedy and Michael Klemm.

Capella University
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Have you ever heard of Capella University? If not, then you should check out their site today. They are a fully-accredited online University with a lot to offer...as they have 82 degree programs and 16 certificate programs. After reading up on it myself, I found it to be quite the University...making it easy for college goers to make a decision on degree programs, etc. They have recently released the latest Inside Online Education podcast. Here you will find a conversation with a student from Capella, Carla Chladek. She discusses her involvement as Program Manager for the Joint Staff Training Program at the Pentagon. I found this podcast, and others, to be quite interesting. They are usually only about 15 minutes long, but offer a wealth of information through interviews with students, staff and faculty. You get to hear about their experiences with Capella University which I think is pretty neat. Check them out for yourself and see what you think.

Ready to start the day
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Wow, yesterday I was so tired for some reason...I'm not quite sure why?! I decided to make sure I was in bed by 11:00 last night, and this morning I felt completely refreshed and ready to get up by 7:30. I thought that was pretty good. That gives me just enough time to take a shower and get to work on time. I'm glad that I"m feeling much more refreshed and ready to start my day.

Frustrated
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I'm a little disappointed with PPP these days...as they have not been putting out the opportunities like they used to. Yesterday I watched the numbers, and I believe they added a couple all day. I really would like to continue blogging for them, as they are a terrific company...but I sure hope that they get some more opps on there soon. It makes it difficult for those of us who could use the extra cash flow.

Capella University
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Having gone to college and done that whole thing before...I have heard of many different colleges. However, one that is fairly new to me is Capella University. This is a fully accredited online university. Are you planning on getting your degree in the near future?? If so, I strongly recommend you check out their site. I really like the fact that Capella University is something that can be done online and from the comfort of your own home. I had a few online courses throughout my college career...but would have liked to have more. This university is right up my alley!! It definitely would have been nice while I was in college. They even have regular podcasts that they share online, giving you a better idea of what Capella is all about. In these podcasts, students, faculty and staff share their experiences and thoughts on this great online program. Who better to hear it from than the people that are experiences it first hand. Check them out and see what you think.

Wednesday Already...
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Well it's already the middle of the week, can you believe it?!? Most times my weeks don't go by quite as quickly, but this week sure is flying by!! I'm not complaining or anything, as I am someone who does appreciate my weekends since I work so much during the week. Maybe this weekend I will actually be able to go back and see my parents, and maybe my sister and her husband...we'll see. Now lets just hope that thursday and friday go as quickly as the week has so far!:)

Dad's Job
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

My dad used to work for the Iowa State Patrol for many years. When he had this job, we would get all kinds of neat things at C-mas each year like stuffed animals, key chains, stickers, etc. that represented the State Patrol. Now he has a great job working with the DCI, so I recently asked that he look into seeing if they have some cool key chains and things as well. Hopefully they do, that would be really neat to have.

I thought that was pretty cool! and it intrigued me to learn more. They have even obtained a number of awards for their excellence including two South Florida Travel Publication Awards in one year! How Sad!!
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I recently learned that there were at least five children playing with a land mine in Somalia and something terrible happened!! The device exploded and all of the children were killed by it immediately. They were so young too! Their ages ranged from 6-12 years old. They weren't trying to hurt anything...just playing some football and happened to come across the device. They were actually on their way to the mosque for prayer at the time. How sad!! :(

Corn Fields
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I recently heard that because of some of the nasty storms we've been getting lately, that the corn isn't growing as well as it should be. In fact, some of the winds that the people in the northern part of the state had actually made the corn lay flat on the ground. I used to work for a farmer and I know how upsetting this can be. I sure hope that it continues to grow and that they get some good crop this year.

Integra Radiator
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I don't know about you, but I'm someone who is very fascinated by radiators and that type of thing. Especially the Integra Radiator. That's why I was thrilled to find the site, Radiator.com. With all the time I spend online, I was surprised that I had never come across this great site before. They are the leading source for radiators and cooling parts. They don't offer the cheapy stuff like some other sites...but the highest of quality, and the lowest of prices!! Isn't that great?!? You can't ask for much better than that!! They have a knowledgable staff, and service that will just wow you!! So, no matter if you're someone looking for a radiator replacement, or someone who's looking for one for business...you should definitely check out this site today. You won't be disappointed!

Blog for money
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

If you haven't figured that you can make money by blogging, then you should definitely start today!! Blogging for money used to be something I'd do every once in a while, just to make a few dollars here and there. But now that I have the opportunity to do it more often, I see what great money one can make if they really take the time to!! Seriously...if you have a blog, and a little time, try blogging for money today.

Couple more weeks
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I'm excited because I get to dogsit my parent's dog in just a couple of weeks! Not only am I looking forward to getting to see Zoe, their dog...but I'm also looking forward to spend some time at home and just relax. It seems like sometimes I feel like I don't get much of a chance to relax at home...because all I do is work. Taking a weekend for myself will be very nice.

Gothscene.com
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Is it me, or has anyone else noticed how many different kinds of dating sites are out there these days??! What do you think about that? I personally think it's great for those who are looking for friendship or even love!! The fact that there are all kinds of sites out there that offer dating services, makes it easier for each individual to find one that's right for them! One that I recently came across is very unique and may be something that you would be interested in taking part in. Gothscene.com is a dating site for those looking for goth singles. This is the first site that I've ever seen specifically geared toward those who like Goth. It really seems to be a great site, very nicely laid out and easy to use. It's free to join, and very easy to search through the profiles and pictures that are already on there. Why don't you take a minute and check it out, and see if this Goth Dating site is for you. This is a paid post.

Nice Weather
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

It's another beautiful day out today! I wasn't so sure if it was going to be so pleasant out today, as the weather last night was quite nasty!! It stormed pretty bad...for many hours yesterday evening! In fact, I thought it might even hail...but thankfully it didn't. There was just a lot of rain, a lot of thunder and lightening, and even some tornado warnings I think. Hopefully this nice weather will keep up and we don't have another storm like that for a while.

My girlfriend
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

This summer has just gone by so quickly!! My girlfriend has actually been in California most of the summer, and time has just flown!! I am looking forward to when she gets back in August...I'm hoping the rest of the summer will go by just as quickly...so that she gets back before I know it! I am really looking forward to getting to see her and spend time with her again.

Closed Captioning
Sunday, July 08, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I don't know about you, but I really think that closed captioning on the television is pretty cool. I have been sitting with people before that are hard of hearing and they really appreciate having the closed captioning people available to them while watching TV. When I was little I even enjoyed putting the closed captioning on the television to practice reading. No matter what your purpose for using closed captioning is, it's a nice thing to have, that's for sure.

Auto Accessories
Friday, July 06, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Anyone who knows me, knows that I am a big car buff!! I just love everything about cars...especially auto accessories and the ways you can use them to make a car unique and personal. What's your favorite auto accessories? I think my favorite are custom wings. They just add so much to a car....and truly make your own with the uniqueness that they can add.

Office Supplies
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Do you work in an office or have your own business and want to find somewhere to buy your office supplies? If so, then you should check out Business Supply. The thing I like best about this site is that they make it possible for you find most of what you're looking for in one spot. You don't have to search all over the internet or go into a bunch of stores because they offer just about everything. And, they offer discounts on office supplies. Isn't that great?! Check them out today

california mortgage rate
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I normally don't have much to say about loans and things like that, but since my sister and her husband recently bought a house I have been hearing more and more about mortgages and all that goes into getting a home loan. It's actually quite interesting, and I've learned quite a bit. One thing I've learned is that mortgage rates different, so whether you're looking for a california mortgage rate or some other rate, you should find one that's best for you and your personal situation.

Water bottle filter
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I don't know about you, but I am the type of person who likes my water as pure and clean as possible. More and more people are drinking bottled water which I think is great. The only thing about bottled water is that it's quite expensive. Although I enjoy having it...I can't afford to buy it very often. That's why I like the fact that there are actually water bottles that have a water bottle filter in them. This is a much more cost effective way to drink water, and your still getting the purity that you want.

Florida
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I don't know about you, but Florida is one of my favorite places to go on vacation. I just love all that Florida has to offer it's visitors. How does a Florida rental vacation sound? I think the next time I go to Florida, I'm going to look into Florida rentals. You can get vacation homes that are absolutely amazing...making your trip to Florida that much better!! So no matter if you're planning a trip with your spouse, or your entire family...I recommend you look into Florida vacation homes as well.

Branson Missouri
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Have you ever been to Branson Missouri?? Well, I have and it's great!! There's lots of fun things to do there for all ages. Are you a soap opera fan? If you are, then that's even more of a reason to go to Branson!! As the World Turns actually filmed many episodes in Branson Missouri last month. I thought that was pretty cool. Those episodes are going to be airing next week. Branson just has so much going on and anyone who has ever been there will tell you the same. Check them out and see if this is somewhere you'd like to travel.

Fishing Tackle
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

My dad absolutely loves summer. He really enjoys all the activities he can do in the nice weather. He loves to golf...in fact, he would do it everyday I think if he could. He also loves to fish. Most years he gets a fishing license so that he can fish some during the summer as well. One thing that he is lacking though is fishing tackle. His birthday is coming up and I was considering buying him some more fishing gear so he can enjoy fishing even more.

Old cars
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I'm so jealous. Tonight my sister told me that her and her husband get to take out Scott's grandpa's 67 Mustang. They are going to cruise around in it for a while, just enjoying the town, the weather, and each other's company. I love cars, and would love to ride in a classic like this. Maybe sometime when I'm back.

Nasty Weather
Thursday, July 05, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

Well, it ended up being a beautiful day out on the fourth of July, here where I live and where my parents were spending the fourth as well. Up north I guess a lot of the festivities the night before the fourth, like parades, had to be cancelled due to some really nasty weather. I guess there were tornadoes, winds, and storms like you could believe!! My sister and her husband were driving home from the parade where they live and had branches flying at their vehicle. They said it was pretty scary. I'm glad that the fourth was much nicer for them, as it was here as well.

Dad's Job

My dad used to work for the Iowa State Patrol for many years. When he had this job, we would get all kinds of neat things at C-mas each year like stuffed animals, key chains, stickers, etc. that represented the State Patrol. Thrilled
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I'm so happy for my sister and her husband!! The house stuff is all settled and they are finally beginning the closing process on their new home!! They are just thrilled with the thought of owning their own home and being able to do with it what they want. They actually get to move in in just a few weeks so I think I will try to go home and help if I"m able to.

Blinds
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

My sister and her husband recently bought a house...they actually just did a few days ago. They will be moving within the next few weeks and are very excited. They're a little overwhelmed though, because the house doesn't have any blinds on the windows, so they know they're going to have to buy that right away. I would like to buy them some blinds as a housewarming gift and found a great site where I can find some really unique ones that I think they'd like.

Fun 4th of July
Posted By: Jake - Comments:

I didn't do too much for the 4th of July, just relaxed and enjoyed my day off from work. It sounds like my parents and my sis and her husband had a fun day too. They got lots of sun and enjoyed their time out on the lake. They also went to the fireworks which sounds like fun too. Now it's back to work.
