Just a few helpful tips for all of you new bloggers out there (and those of you who just need to jump start your earnings potential.)
Many bloggers just like you and I, often make mistakes on blogging for cash. Believe me, when I first started blogging, I wasn't making nearly what I had potential to be making. One thing that I am often asked is, "What should I blog about?" and this is a terrific question. Frankly, the answer to this question is quite simple. Blog about what you want. You can simply blog about things that interest you. On Sankey Blog, I write about hundreds of topics that are the most popular and in-demand topics on the web (this means lots of unique visitors.) This is one way to do it. Another way would be to start a 'niche' blog. This would be a blog about one topic (and not straying too far from that topic.) This would cause the same visitors to want to come back for further news on that topic. And example of a Niche blog would be my PS3 Blog. Next, when you are a new blogger and only get 10-100 readers per day, don't expect to rake in too much cash from AdSense. This is just a fact, only a small percentage of your readers will click on those ads and if you have a small amount of traffic, obviously you wont be rich.
The best thing you can do to dramatically increase your AdSense earnings is to start numerous blogs about whatever you think will be a popular topic (check out the keyword tool on Overture.com.) Obviously, starting more blogs, even if none are REALLY popular means that those few clicks you were getting on ads is now multiplied by the number of blogs that you own.
Another very important factor in being profitable is to gain as much free traffic as possible. The best way to do this is to Digg all your posts and bookmark them on Del.Icio.Us and Technorati. This will gain you tons of exposure. Also, join a site like MyBlogLog and you will see your traffic ratings go sailing up.

Projectors have been an up an coming popularity for the last several years. However, for the average person, it is hardly worth spending the ridiculous amounts on the price tags for one, because you probably wont use it all that often unless you are a teacher, own a business that you do presentations at, or something similar. Luckily, for the few times that us average citizens need a projector, we don't have to just go out and buy one, we can now rent them from the internet! Projector123 makes it easy with FedEx delivery and return and really respectable prices! So, when you need a projector for a wedding, presentation, or anything else, check into Projector123!

| Increase your AdSense clicks | Wednesday, March 07, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

There are several ways to increase the amount of clicks that you get from your AdSense ads. It is said that people typically get about 1 click for ever 100 visitors on their site/blog. This is actually pretty common even for very popular sites. However, you can increase this number up to at least 5-10 for every 50 visitors. First of all, be sure to take a close look at the 'heat map' that I have included in this post. The darker the color, the more clicks you will get. Next, make sure you are using the right kind of ad units. The large rectangle (like the one I have above my posts at the top of the page) is by far the most clicked ad unit. This is not only true on this site, but on a majority of sites. I agree that it doesn't necessarily look that attractive when it is place above the posts like this, but it is indeed the best place for it. Next, do what you can to get on 'button' ad embedded into your post text. This is definitely another top earner. I realize that doing this with a service like Blogger is no easy task do to the way that the Blogger system is designed. Typically with blogger it will just put the ad above or below the text. I am a Blogger user and I obviously have figured out how to do it, so if you need help doing so, just leave a comment on this post and I will reply ASAP.

| ClickBooth - Get high paying ads on your site | Sunday, March 04, 2007 Posted By: Jake - Comments:

For those of you who are interested in displaying ads on your site/blog that pay you for every click that the ads get by your visitors, I have something to share with you.
I have been scouring the net for quite a long time and I have looked into and/or tried pretty much all of the big advertising companies. For ads that pay you for each and every click, Google AdSense is definitely the elite for the average blogger and even probloggers. There are other types of ads that you can display along side your AdSense ads. I recently started up an account with a company called ClickBooth and have been quite impressed! ClickBooth provides site/blog owners a similar service to AdSense because you are provided with HTML code that you place on your site in the location that you want the ads to show. The way that ClickBooth differs from AdSense and other popular ad networks is because they do have a few pay per click ads that you can place on your site, however they mainly provide Pay Per Action ads for you.
If you are not familiar with Pay Per Action ads, let me explain. By Action they are telling you that you will be paid upon completion of a certain task. Once your visitor clicks on the link, these tasks range from things like, submitting their email address, filling in a quick survey, and some are even Pay Per Lead, where you are paid when they simply sign up for the advertiser's service. So, once they submit their email address, or complete the given task, you are paid handsomely. They supply text ads, banner ads, and more.
The payouts are very impressive ranging from a few dollars per action to a couple hundred! Be sure to check them out, you will be very impressed how many visitors submit their email addresses. I suggest the campaigns that require email submission, because they tend to get the most actions. Anyhow, be sure to check out ClickBooth.
